You're awesome great video. I am 4 weeks in on Zepbound and am watching everything I can. Love the Countess and now I'm following you!

i just started Zep and of course i'm on youtube finding info. coutness shows up first and i watched a few of her videos but she's so annoying. she repeats herself way too much and she tries to be funny. i just want the info, not to be entertained. i'm glad i found this girl this morning. and i love that shes vegan, thats the direction i want to go.

Thank you for sharing! I'm vegan/plant based as well so it's refreshing to here from someone who is as well. I'm only on my second week, but I haven't had constipation or other side effects either. I did have nausea for the first day of my first shot, but that's been it so far.

AWESOME!!! 🥳🥳🥳I really think we vegans(especially those of us that are already used to eating TONS of fiber and legumes) have a great advantage in the gastrointestinal side-effects department. I am hoping we can rub off on others on this journey as well and spread the word on fiber and plant proteins!! It really makes a huge difference.

So thankful to have stumbled upon your videos. You have been so inspiring! And I loved your 10 tips. I also have been eating whole food plant based for a little over 2 years now and am on week 5 of zepbound. I know I have not been getting nearly enough protein, so thanks for the tips. Wishing you continued success!🎉

YAYYYYYY! I am confident you will have TONS of success with your journey if you already know how to each well! Yes, protein is key and being WFPB makes it a teeny bit more difficult, but I firmly believe the healthy plant proteins are key to finding success and avoiding any unwanted side effects. Keep me posted on your journey!!!

Thank you! Are you also WFPB? I'm really hoping to reach other vegans/WFPB people that have struggled like I have to lose the weight, even after changing my way of eating to WFPB(which is SOOOOOO good for you on so many levels other than achieving a healthy weight).

What are some of your favorite high fiber fruits/veggies!? (Also OBSESSED 🍋 with your kitchen!!)

    • @PeacocksPounds
      @PeacocksPounds  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hahaha - THANK YOU! That kitchen was a labor of love...and a leap of faith with the wallpaper selection. 🤩 For high fiber, I eat a TON of beans and lentils as my main protein sources in meals. I also eat TONS of broccoli and cauliflower(sneak chickpeas and frozen riced cauliflower in your smoothies -- just try it!!! You can't even taste it and adds in protein and fiber goodness). I also really love lacianto kale and hummus with celery. I could go on and on...I'll try to do some more What I Eat in a Day videos soon!!!

Sorry about your bad side effects. Not fun.😕
Yeah, you may’ve titrated up a little too quickly to the 5mg. There’s no rule that says you have to jump up in dose every 4 weeks.
I definitely get the impulse to try to ‘speed things up’… but too-rapid weight loss can eventually have its own set of issues. Stuff like gallstones, hair loss, pancreatitis, increased amounts of hanging skin, etc. etc.
But ppl do tend to get excited when they’re losing fast, and often their first response is that they want “even more”, and they want it “NOW.” 🔥
Don’t feel like losing ‘only’ 1-2 lbs in a week is a ‘failure’ somehow. Actually, for most ppl, that’s kind of ideal over the long-haul.
(The exception would be ppl with extremely high BMIs, like 50-70+, who do tend to lose a lot more weight and more quickly.)

For the nausea what happened qoekes for me is The Relief Band. It is an FDA cleared device. A little pricey ($200-$240) You wear it on your wrist and it vibrate/buzz/pulses your median nerve to reduce nausea. It was developed for cancer and post operative patients. I have motion sickness from other activities so I will use it for more than medication side effects control. Anyway, perhaps this might help

    • @PeacocksPounds

I agree -- it's a total mind game!!! It's really difficult to not get caught up and want to fast forward to the end goal weight as fast as possible. I do, however, think I titrated to 5mg at an appropriate time for myself -- not saying that's right for everyone. And that one-off Saturday may be something I'm able to figure out why/how that happened given some more research into my food log etc. Thankfully it hasn't happened again since(and was NOT NEARLY as bad as what it seems like others have experienced).

@@maryequilter31 Thanks for the tip -- thankfully my "nausea" hasn't really been severe at all -- very mild and rare and the grated ginger in my water has helped the rare times I needed it. I'm so glad you have something that works well for you -- I know people that really struggle with nausea and sea sickness and my heart goes out to those poor souls. NOT FUN!
