I think Ryve is on par with the copium clinic for different reasons. I agree with the spirit of this though. Always positive, informative, good thumbnails, never a waste of time to watch. Keep up the great work!
Burns, you provide the highest quality Ashes content I can find. Really appreciate all the work you've done, and I'm excited to see what you can do once we all get in game. Keep up the good work, and I hope to run into you in Verra!
Why have you gotten only 4.02k subs and 6.1k (so far) views of just this one video??!! Your presentation is top class, you appear to be a total natural. People get subbing !!!!!
Steven has done a good job of saving face after Narc had his meltdown and went scorched earth about AoC. Also imo that 500 vs 500 sounds outrageous. Systems and people activity spans will be severely strained.
psssst the castle u put on drakkthorn island or however u spell it is actualy on the little island south slightly north of the middle of the map. The other 4 is kinda similiar to what i expect 1 on south side and 1 on north side somewhere of each continent
Love your content, Dr.Burns! Even though I am afraid I will have to be a little away from any Alpha 2 content, because I simply don't want to spoil TOO much =)
Happy to be in a new era, that last one wasn't fun for me. Despite everything there were a lot of people entering AoC spaces with agendas from other games and trying to imprint them on AoC, it was frustrating when most of what they were saying had already been dealt with. I still think that fears of zerging are not worth dealing with at this point. Player collision is going to have an effect at a tactical level (there will come a point that having more people at the back isn't going to help much), and at a strategic level (as Steven alludes to) it takes 10-20 minutes to cross a node (or go through a doorway with collision). If you are at the back of a zerg, you might play for about 3 hours and never catch up to an enemy. That is going to get old fast.
First thoughts: Have you surfed anywhere else? I used to surf in California and Hawai’i and it’s an amazing hobby. I never was good, but I was enthusiastic.
Excellent, as always. Thanks Doc. Looking back, one has to admit that nostalgia just ain't what it used to be (sorry, I can resist anything except temptation)
Great content, now the fun really starts, and the difference in A2 from a month ago to now is night and day though the 25th will still probably be rough.
I'm glad the PvX systems are here to stay. I don't want another safe space PvE Mode MMO. Forced PvP for life. I heard though they might add a sanctuary safe zone. I think that would be bad for the game. Everyone would just congregate there and it would kill open world gameplay and open world PvP.
What happened to the Mega Server idea? Why do al the AoC members get mad when you talk about a Mega servers? Why does Steven no longer like Narcs content? 👉😏👈
NO, that gets you testing from A2 wave 3 all the way through beta1 and beta 2, plus one month of game time when the game goes live on release....and I think $15 of shop credit for cosmetics once the game releases.
Since I prefer PVE games to forced PVP, I will not be playing this game. IT does look interesting for players that like the PVP elements though. Hope you all have lots of fun playing it :)
Honestly, I feel like A2 going to be mostly negative experience for most people. I love AoC thus far (have been in pre-A1+) but the reality is most people see A2 and probably don't realize how truly "alpha" it is. This game has so many bugs, has very little content, etc etc. It's where I expected it to be, but I'm kinda concerned people are going to try it, realize how far away it still is, and walk away with bad tastes in their mouths. It's unfortunate, and hopefully doesn't hurt things, but I guess just for anyone going in for the first time in A2... balance your expectations going in :)
I applaud those creative artists who are willing to die on a given hill. But they all too often do. T&L either will or will not replace the animal morphing with actual mounts and offer more than one race. AoC either will or will not offer solid PvE options. Remember when FF14 realized its issues and scrambled to reinvent itself in the nick of time? They rode that flying chair of humility all the way to the bank. There's still time for each to break free from their hubris. Or they can bask in their 15 minutes of fame as they crash their ships against the same rocky shores that claimed the countless MMO's that came before them. Either way, ...it is right now that they will remember. This very moment in time when the course could have still been corrected. But fame is such a shiny little bobble. And few can break their gaze.
Man I wanted the "It's highly addictive" :( Anyways, the biggest way it's about to change? We're about to be flooded with opinionated children who scream "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
@TangentsofCreation Typically, experience and equipment being equal, two defeats, one, ten defeats five, 100 defeats 50, etc, etc... Every guy who gets rolled by more than one person cries ZERG! War is not about balance. It is about creating advantages to maximize enemy losses and minimizing friendly ones to reach a result favorable to your interests. It is not a duel to establish who is the better warrior. People in MMO pvp who cry Zerg are just being foolish and will most likely rage quit. Good riddance, I say. Zergs move like amoeba. Push forward where there is no resistance and fall back from resistance. No coordination. Just reaction. Members of zergs have no loyalty to any member or group. They are essentially a group of people who play as individuals, not a team. Kinda Iike the US men's Olympic basketball team. Slamming a zerg in the flank or rear by organized forces who are playing as a team can shatter a zerg into a routing mob of individuals only concerned about their own survival. Ten teams of 8 players that are balanced with dps, utility, and healing each with its own comms and coordinated by a commander in comms with each team can defeat a zerg many times its size. Attacking and retreating to draw a zerg into an ambush. Raiding the back of the zerg to kill healers and cloth dps. Placing teams between the zerg and its nearest respawn point to stop or delay the return of zerg members. Team leaders calling out specific targets in the zerg to be burned down. These are all tactics that the typical Zerg can not do and to which would be very vulnerable. As Stalin said, "Quantity has a quality of its own." However, Sun Tzu has a whole list of tactics that can defeat quantity. Guild leaders should be studying "The Art of War" in preparation for wars to come.
By far, the best AoC content creator out there. As always, awesome content Dr. Burns!

Not the ashes of relation throwback 😭. But what a growth. Best AOC channel hands down. Can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings
One does not simply not click on a Burns vid.
You're the man Wolfheart!
I love that Core won't change. Flavor will change. Flavor is good for everyone. But the Soup will remain Soup.
Me like soup
I feel like you’re describing the secondary archetypes- flavor change 😂

Mage squads: LIGHTNING BALL LIGHTNING BALL LIGHTNING BALL!!!
An end of an era my fellow northerner. It's been great but it's time to evolve. Another great video as always
Evolve or die! Thanks dude
You have grown a lot.. in the content quality and in number of subscribers..Good luck to you for Alpha 2 testing

That was hawaii 😉
@@TheCopiumClinic which island? I was normally on Oahu
You look good with a beard. I know Movember is coming. perhaps we can all get to see what a year of growth looks like before AoC beta.
Thanks amigo, looks like you got a good one too.
@8:20 someone save Steven from wherever he’s being held
Excellent, as always. Thanks Doc. Looking back, one has to admit that nostalgia just ain't what it used to be (sorry, I can resist anything except temptation)
Couldn't help but notice there is a continent in Vera called Elyrium.
Let's hope this is not a bad omen!
Damn, I hope they go with PvP and PvE servers.
burns from north dakota? midwest excellence.
Here for the beaches 😉
Beaches ?
North Dakota only has like 6 weeks out of the year that everything that hasn't blown away is frozen solid .
Great editing, you put a lot of work into these and it shows

great and funny video!
i think they are going to be inviting some people early myself.
See you Friday brother, let's break this game!

I bet we get GTA6 before Ashes of Creation.
Great Video Doc, doing fine work here lol
The more nodes the more Wars happen, just like in New World?
Likely!

Ok I need help here . Is the package for ALPHA TRSTER wave 3 , 120$ for one month of total play time and after that its finish, that’s it and bye ?!
