Similar names could be created for other books that are directly referenced, as Remleiz loves to dig deep in the books]. Otherwise, great vid on Chaos Necrons...
Calling it, it was an STC that got corrupted by chaos. Necrons are a close second but it doesn’t explain how all the astropaths in the sector were having nightmares of blood and screaming faces.
I'm leaning towards the C'tan theory. The Mechanicas have shown a disregard for the taboo nature of Xenos technology when discovering highly advanced technology of the Necrons before knowledge of them was declassified. It's quite possible that a C'tan shard corrupted the techpriests, teaching them how to preform bio-transference and finally shed the last of their flesh. At that point the constructs would likely be somewhat different from the Necron designs, possibly being faster and more akin to actual human skeletons, especially given the Imperium's love of skeletal motifs. After that the techpriests and anyone else unfortunate enough to be caught up in the madness would be enslaved much as the Necrons once were.
Horus heresy book series. A very early encounter with chaos was a abandoned city with constructs that were made from the it debris of city it self attacking the Astardies.
I sadly only discovered oculus about 4 months ago. Not mention only getting back into the hobby two years ago. Forgive my ignorance inquisitor. I will comb the archives for this "1st collab."
Given how rarely we get stories of Chaos forces that aren't chaos corrupted humans I think the coolest and most interesting answer would be Chaos corrupted Necrons and even a Chaos corrupted C'tan shard. I wish there were more stories about the forces of chaos corrupting any of the major factions like Orks or Tau or Eldar, the best we ever get for chaos corrupted xenos is some minor insiginifcant xeno race from a single solar system.
one time i was listening to one of these while taking a dump. and the 16:14 song rang in right as i finished unleashing one major mud monkey. now everytime i hear it, i think of that success and relief to get that out.
What about "Men of Iron"? A single, rogue unit could have conquered and taken over the facility, turning it into a manufactory for more men of Iron (or at least weak knock-offs). The part about the Astropaths having dreams is curious. But that could be anything - a warning by a 3rd party (like the Emperor or some Demons), a longrange nightmare shroud effect or even just plain old premonitions.
The other possible explanation is that the artifact was some kind of relic that was used in the manufacture of Men of Iron, and had been corrupted by chaos
Hopefully random mechanicus guy returns quickly. Perhaps he may be bribed with toasters??? In the meantime I like the co operative videos. My wager for the incident third possibility, recovered STC and men of iron.
Humans being taken and "upgraded" to a cybernetic body? I hope the Silent King has some damned fine legal representation because I have a feeling that the Cybercontroller will be getting ready to serve papers just as soon as the Cyberstrategist has pulled together the logistics! 😁
Could the commander be a living nekron? Maybe a sleeper ship got off world after the tech was revealed yet not implemented when they flew off? This would hit the "fast" portion, "human" portion, and why they were making nekron warrior's.
So crazy hypothesis just for fun is it possible that it could have been a man of iron? That would explain the humanoid shape it would explain the speed it would explain the converting people in the robots and it could explain how the technology was altered. As for the psychic visions do you have to assume that much slaughter in a short period of time is going to cause some sort of psychic affect
I have a feeling that the structure the techpriests was some kind of necron c’tan prison. Maybe the outsider or the void dragon. Considering both are quite intact beings. Plus the outsider has some kind of power like what is described. And the void dragon is somewhat mentioned to have a very strong warp presence
Am I the only one who thought what was actually encountered may have been Chaos Androids from the old Space Crusade game..? (I don't think that they've ever actually been de-canonised, they've just not been mentioned in -years- decades…) Edit: Hehehe, they're actually mentioned at 11:24 ..!

chaotic necrons would be a nice theme for an army to build
What a awesome collaboration.
Can I hire you to voice the audible version of my autobiography? It's titled the curious case of the man who had his legs ate by chaos cultists.
My guess is Necrons.
Chaos Necrons!
Horus heresy book series. A very early encounter with chaos was a abandoned city with constructs that were made from the it debris of city it self attacking the Astardies.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU GUYS TO DO A COLLAB!!!!
Well worth the wait. 😎👌
This is the second one we've done ;)
Great vid, love the collaboration!
Ooh crossover episode!! 🦾🦾🦾
The other possible explanation is that the artifact was some kind of relic that was used in the manufacture of Men of Iron, and had been corrupted by chaos
Oh what a treat indeed, good Inquisitor!
I'm sorry, but Oculus Imperia sounds like a guy who ALWAYS wears latex gloves..
Ave Imperator, loyal servant of the Inquisition.
Anyone else getting some SCP vibes from the Skopios facility?
No man of iron theory? Seems most likely to me
Hopefully random mechanicus guy returns quickly.
“Haha gaze upon this!”
This would never have happened at the "Fluffy Bunny" facility.
Great job on the video!
It was just the fabricator general doing whatever he does
It's heresy! That's all it will ever be!
I was hoping that you would bring up chaos androids and I was not disappointed!
Why hadn't you considered the involvment of Men of Iron?
The threat of Chaos and Necrons is a calming respite in the midst of some tempests.
One of the lost primarchs who got biotransfered into a necron construct .....
IT WAS THE CAREBEARS!!! By far the worst and most terrifying race in 40k.
Maybe it was a special conversion of a dark eldar into a corrupted necron.
Am I the only one who thought what was actually encountered may have been Chaos Androids from the old Space Crusade game..?
(I don't think that they've ever actually been de-canonised, they've just not been mentioned in -years- decades…)
Edit: Hehehe, they're actually mentioned at 11:24 ..!
Sounds very Men of Iron to me.
Especially as corrupted MoI are a thing.
