When u look at dividend .... U should check whether company paying dividend from free cash flow or from debt. Its very important

i am only 11 years old and my old brother was graduated by 12th and he started to read books of investing like rich dad and poor dad and many others. he wanted me to learn about it. after 1 month i was free and bored because of quarentine so i asked my brother to teach investing (that he did). he dint say to read books he said to watch your video and when i did i was then fond to investing.

I am only 13 years old and learn stock market but sir in last video you said to make account in finology web for homework but you didn't gave homework for us.
When I am checking the parameters for banks (i.e. Axis, HDFC etc..) I don't see any Debt, Cash. Instead I see different parameters such as Cost to Income, Net Interest Income etc.. Are these factors covered in the later videos? If not, I would like to know how to compare bank shares in terms of checking Debt, Cash etc. as we do for non-banking companies.
The example about FaceValue using gms of gold, silver, iron was simply amazing. Ek baar me samajh gya.

Hey,. It's good to see that you want to learn. But stock market is not everyone's cup of tea, be very very cautious.
Your answer (according to me) - if the company is growing, good P/e ratio, less/no debts, and other factors are good than, look at the type of company that are there any chances of huge expense in future? If no than it can have high dividend yield.

Why do the companies give a dividend to their shareholders when they can keep the extra profits for themselves? Or maybe they can give an additional bonus to their employees? Or increase their cash reserves? Or increase the salary of their employees? Shareholders are not going anywhere. Why to keep them happy?
Why do you try to keep your parents happy? They have not asked for it. You do it because they have done a lot for you. Similarly, a business is able to run smoothly because it's shareholders have put their money in it. So, businesses give dividends to show their appreciation towards their shareholders. Also, through dividends a company creates goodwill and it encourages other investors to also invest in the business. It shows that the company respects and values it's shareholders.
