She's under THEBLACKLABEL (subsidiary of YG ent) Teddy Park is the owner of this company (Blackpink's producer) So all of her is produced by Teddy. She's Dutch-Canadian-Korean. Somi experienced tremendous journey in kpop industry in such a young age (14) she almost debut as Twice and itzy member but ended up as a soloist.
the kid is her younger self I believe, that’s why when she looks in the mirror she actually appears.

6:33 Sammy you’re killin me man 😂 the little girl is supposed to be her when she was little lol like right here the little girl put on the crown and posed in the mirror which transitions to somi doing the same thing with the same crown… later the little girl bites a donut and it transitions into somi biting the same donut lol just a visual way to show the sweet kinda soft wanna be a princess vibe of how she thinks she’s supposed to be to grab the guys attention in this case but I think the song is just in general… like she’s in the Angel outfit and devil outfit and I believe it’s the devil red dress somi that he is into or maybe notices? Yeh anyway like little girls hear stories about “Prince Charming” and that the most pure, perfect and submissive girl who always looks flawless is the girl you have to be to get someone’s attention or even just like having to kinda like with BTS… they don’t hide the crack and chaos… they’re that all the time lol however that’s not typical for most groups in public settings.. they’re all goofy on shows and stuff but always protecting that image… which could be a knock on kpop as well I guess… in the traditional kpop.. I know ppl hate saying these two together but like yg is known for having a hip hop sound… bts has some of the best rappers in the world so they like yg are pushing a stronger rap sound in songs … and they have rappers who are actually passionate about rap.. not just for show or to be a concept… and it’s part of them… and I think somi has moments like this song where it’s another example of the shift in kpop and it may be subtle… but it’s there lol I know there’s rappers in kpop groups and groups that do a lot of hip hop… but idol hip hop is very different from hip hop and lacks the authenticity of the connection to the lyrics that they want to write about and their experiences… this causes the content to be extremely different from what kpops been for quite awhile now. Somis cutesy side reminds me of jyp… and teddys reminds me of the devilish one who is gonna do what she feels and seeing it’s okay to be herself and not pretend to be this sweet a pie submissive girl all the time… and there’s nothing wrong if that’s who you are at all and there’s nothing wrong with older kpop styles.. they’re extremely outperforming western artists daily no matter what style of kpop they’re going with… the amount of talented idols and groups and seeing their content blows my mind… so much more work and attention to detail goes into every single thing they do… and western artists absolutely work hard and have their struggles and people have that dedication to their art for sure. There’s just a different way the industry works here… but anyway def watch more somi and you’ll fall for this girl… she’s funny, cute and just always having fun.. you’ll love her

her full name is Ennik Somi Douma! She is under a sub label of YG ENTERTAINMENT, "The black label". she is dutch-canadian-korean and she was born 9th march 2001 :) she's really talented and experienced, she trained w girls of TWICE during the survival show 16. where she really hit off was this other survival show called "produce 101" which she won, becoming 1 of 11 members of now disbanded girl group I.O.I (who you should also react to!). They were huge back then!! and in 2019 she went solo w her debut single "birthday" and in 2020 she released another single "what you waiting for". she's been in the industry from around when she was 13, she's super hardworking!!

This song was produced by Teddy Park who you'll know as main producer of BlackPink. Teddy has his own company The Black Label and Somi is signed under this. There is one guy group I really wanna recommend to you. They are from the same company as BlackPink. Their called Winner and are active since 2014 so they're seniors to BlackPink. Winner has 4 members (2 rappers & 2 vocalists) and they produce their own music. I guarantee you almost all of their songs will end up on your playlist (if you have a kpop playlist). South Korea has named them as the 'Trust & Listen' group cuz they have this track record, till date there's no one who hasn't enjoyed their songs irrespective of personal music taste. They have only bops. A good Winner song to start with is 'Really Really'. This was song of the year when it released in 2017. It exploded everywhere. Once you hear Winner you won't be able to stop. Trust & listen 😉
