    Appreciate you sharing your understanding, tips and ideas on NFT's! Especially good idea to suggest developers to create a verification database algorithm to help secure one's NFT from copyright.
    Exciting times! Most of us artists, dj's, producers are constantly riding the cutting edge... THIS is one of those waves we don't want to miss.

    Brand new to this NFT game. Rookie question. I just minted my first NFT with a download link to the full song. I haven’t released the song on streaming services. Should I release the song on Spotify etc. or does that devalue the NFT? Not sure how else to promote the song/NFT.

    • @AdilConstantineMusic
      @AdilConstantineMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I would say yes upload it to streaming services, mostly to protect yourself so no one uploads your track as their own. As far as the NFT I would say provide some other special perk or Collab with a digital artist to make a cool artwork for your NFT

      Remember that even with the NFT, copyright still applies. Check your local intellectual property rules as well. If you want the governing bodies to help you keep your rights... you've got to register and in countries like Japan, you've got to pay the governing bodies (JASRAC). It's kinda like protection money, but hopefully it evolves.

    Can i sell a beat as NFT if I’m already leasing it on Beatstars? If so, what does it happen if someone buy that beat on exclusive soon after? How can they get ownership of the NFT as well?

    Awesome video, thanks for the breakdown. I just have two questions i would like your take on.
    1.) Should we be careful of uploading beats that have a sample from another song?
    Or just specify that it contains a sample & its their responsibility to get the sample cleared for their own use?
    I guess this would also fall under the same situation as if you use an image from pinterest as a part of your edited beat artwork, wonder if thats an issue selling as an NFT.
    2.) Can we not still lease the beat on BeatStars but then sell a 1/1 (almost like an exclusive) on OpenSea?
    would love to hear your take thanks!

    Just a quick question. Can I still mint a music NFT even if it's currently out on all Music Streaming Platforms? Or do I have to retract it from my distributor first before making it as an NFt? Thanks.

    What's to stop someone minting someone else's beat? I don't see how minting proves ownership.

    • @AdilConstantineMusic
      @AdilConstantineMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      As of right now, nothing. But by minting your own beats you have proof of ownership if you find someone else stole your beat and minted it you easily prove you are the original minter.

  • @mikegmusic
    @mikegmusic 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I mean if there is a time stamp though, how could someone else mint it? Would t you just need to refer back to time stamp of original mint?

    What if I lease a beat to make a song, how does the existing license affect that, or how do I pay whats owed to the beatmaker or ensure I dont get sued??
    Plz respond! I love nfts and want to make an album, but cant afford exclusive rights and even when I do some still have a 50-50 split on derivatives. Or some have time limits, hiw do we get that to work without being sued?

    • @AdilConstantineMusic
      @AdilConstantineMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can’t buy exclusive then I recommend collaborate with a producer / beat maker on an NFT album where you set your splits from NFTs

    Recently i started composing an album with copyright ofcourse to distribute it on tunecore , but i have a question. I have read few stuff about nft music. There is something that makes me little bit confused . Even if i made a copyright on my songs that i have composed , am I allowed to post it into nft to invest in them or they should be without copyright and they are already published in streaming website ? Or nft it is like selling your ideas , is that what it is for only ?

    • @AdilConstantineMusic
      @AdilConstantineMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      copyrighting your music is always a good practice and that shouldnt stop you from turning your songs into NFTs. Think of NFTs as a way to turn your songs into collectables or a way to provide extra perks to your songs (VIP access, Merch, etc)

  • @FatihEZF66
    @FatihEZF66 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    maybe a dumb question but can't u just buy beats from websites (like shadowville for example) with al the rights included and upload it yourself as an NFT? Basically I would look like the producer while just buying the beats from another platform?

    • @AdilConstantineMusic
      @AdilConstantineMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess you can but it would have to be the exclusive license where you're buying the beat out so you have all the rights. Not sure I would recommend it also not sure it would be profitable since most of those exclusive licenses are like 1500-5000 dollars if not more. I recommend you mint your own beats (You have all the rights and its your creation)

    There should definitely be more ideas being implemented for protecting music creators. Every single piece of music gets put into the blockchain and given its own unique ID number of some sort so it can’t be replicated. Lifetime royalties of the original creator at a certain percentage. Maybe someone can create music deals as smart contracts as protection from getting screwed over. All kinds of stuff.

    Can you do collabs on the site where it pays two parties equally or a set percentage if sold?

    • @AdilConstantineMusic
      @AdilConstantineMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can def do collabs but as of right now OpenSea doesn’t have a way to split the pay. I did a collab with a digital artist where I made a beat and he made the visuals and we just had a deal when it sells he would pay me half. So he minted it and when it sold he transferred half of the sale ETH to my wallet. I really hope someday Opensea does this automatically

    You mention the ownership aspect, how can one really be safe-guarded without registering your works with a PRO (PRS, ASCAP etc.). As you mentioned anyone can rip a track, surely the only solid protection you have is to register your music? Which prompts the question, if someone was to 'leak' an unreleased album through creating an NFT - how would the affected party dispute this?

    what if you want to sell your nft for less than 0.03 ETH?

  • @mikebrodner
    @mikebrodner 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why list it at such a low price, (0.03). How did you come to that number to start your listing?? I would imagine since you are selling your hard earned work, you’d want to start the listing at a higher amount. Any tips on this would be much appreciated! Great video otherwise!

    • @AdilConstantineMusic
      @AdilConstantineMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks man! Because I want it sold and focus on volume since there are a lot of NFT flippers who would like to buy low and sell high because when they sell I still get royalties from the NFT. I set my royalties to 10% so every time the NFT gets sold I get 10% of that sale
