Real people, real passion and hobbies, and real budgets. Love this!!! Mahalo, Kenny!
Mahalo, love and peace to you and thank you very much for your comments 😊 ✌️
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews Your humility and gratitude is inspirational Kenny. Alvin Chee with Vinshine is a good, ethical businessperson too. Sweet upgrade on that DAC. I have a feeling it will serve you well. Not sure what connections you’ll be using but Jaap at Alpha Audio did a nice objective/subjective comparison and the reasonably priced AudioQuest Forest came out very near the top and it is a good value cable with impedance near the 75 ohm spec which is hard to do with an RCA. I’ve also heard a length of something like 1.5M has some benefits because it delays some of the reflected signal so jitter is better. Anyway just thought I would mention. It will be very interesting to get your LT review! 🤙
For sure...the sound is only as good as the connecting cables. I too, have Audioquest cabling throughout my system and have been so pleased with the results...very open and natural sounding and nice tonality with vocals and instruments.
Congrats Kenny on your new Pontus...God indeed is good!! and He wants you to hear your system at its best..ENJOY MY FRIEND!!!
Thank you very much, I really appreciate that 😊 ✌️
Such a nice man. I like his channel
Thank you very much 😊 ✌️
Way to go Kenny, you are surely blessed. I would like a Denafrips Pontus but like you I can only scrape together enough for an Aries II. Good score for your last major Hifi purchase. It would be a great edition to any hifi system. God hasn’t been so kind to me. I guess I’ll have to keep saving. I’ll look forward to the review.
I'm sure that your blessings are on the way 😊....thank you very much for blessing me by watching my videos ✌️
My experience from watching your channel is you are very particular in your choices of audio equipment.
I bought the same Pontus ll several months ago and it's settled in. I chose the black finish to complement my system.
I use the XLR output for connecting. Happy listening 🎶 Kenny. 👍. Greg
Im definitely looking forward for my unit to settle....Thanks Greg for your comments 👍 😊
Congrats on the DAC. I have the Pontus II and really love it. Very analog sounding. Great soundstage. Definitely takes a while to break it in. Be patient and enjoy.
Thank you....I just finished a listening session 😊
Random ur video came to me just now, immediately liked u, look simple person like me, going to watch ur other videos, vanakam from South India.
Thank you, and thank you for watching my video from South India 😊 ✌️
Great buy; I've had the Ares II for a few years, and I've been impressed with it. If I ever upgrade a few years down the line, I'm sticking with Denafrips.
Thank you 😊 ✌️...I'm breaking it in but it sounds great already.
Unboxing videos are always fun. Congratulations. We're hoping the performance justifies the investment; sounds like it will! Enjoy.
Congrats Kenny. You have been blessed. As I said in your prior video, God will make a way for you. 🙏🏾 Now enjoy all that your Pontus series DAC brings to you and your wife’s ears. I have been looking at this DAC for a while, but I have other upgrades I need before purchasing a DAC.
Amen 😊....I remember your awesome and positive comments and what you said came true, in short order...I appreciate your comments, thank you 😊 ✌️
I appreciate hi-end audio and that is a attractive looking DAC, I’m happy for you, Congratulations 👍
Thank you very much, I really appreciate that 😊 ✌️
You are funny. I enjoyed your 'budget' redirection. Congratulations on your Denafris purchase. I was looking at the Pontus II but I decided to get the Emotiva XDA-3 DAC at half the price of the Pontus II. i am sure you will enjoy the 15th. As a physicist and an electrical engineer, I admire and appreciate the electronics inside it. Happy listening.
Thank you very much 😊
That's a beautiful DAC, Kenny! I'm hoping to get a Schiit Yiggy or a Halo DAC next year. I've got a child's wedding to pay for and I've got to get back on my feet from breaking my ankle this year. But the world won't made in a day! LOL.
I hope the wedding is a great one 😊...I'm sure that you will get the DAC of your choice in due time 😊 ✌️.
Congratulations!
When I got my Pontus II it sounded great right out of the box and got even better after a couple of weeks of regular use. Cant wait to hear your impressions.
I'm looking forward to hearing what it sounds like after it's broken in over time 😊
Congratulations. These latest DACs have really solved the “digital sound” problems of the past. I bought PS Audios latest back in January and my love hate relationship with digital is finally over.
PS audio products have a fantastic reputation 👏 👍 🎶...thank you very much for watching my video ✌️
Congratulations Kenny my man! Enjoy the music! I'm enjoying the pre-owned Sota Sapphire. The new Grado Opus3 cartridge I purchased and the Sapphire sound absolutely beautiful and it's addictive! ( nothing like the joy of a new component!).To, @ronkindel9734: I agree 100%! Digital is good these days. I enjoy the sound of the DAC that is in my Rotel cd14 mk2 player. It, along with my Pioneer Elite pd-65 is more like analog than all the previous cd players I've owned. Progress in digital sound has been improved dramatically.
Thank you very much, I hope that you enjoy your equipment and the music as well 🎶
Totally agree...couldn't stand listening to cds before but since purchasing a new Denon CD player, adding a CD Demagnetizer by Acoustic Revive and CD mat by Marigo Audio, I can now say with full confidence that digital audio has come of age, and to my ears anyway, rivals the very best of analog recordings!
Congratulations! I’m a Denafrips user myself! I like the natural sound. And the wide sound stage! I’ve had sound crawl up the walls! I’m also a Rega guy. The detail and air coming off my vinyl is stunning. PS Love your gratitude! Its infectious! - Matt in L.A.
Enjoy your new addition. It's always a pleasure to add a piece of equipment to your system and it makes a noticeable difference.
Thank you very much 😊 ✌️
I think you give yourself too little credit. You keep saying that none of this has anything to do with me, but instead is the result of Supernatural forces. I think that instead, everything that happened is a result of you being such a good and wise person.
Thank you very much my brother I appreciate that ✌️
Why not both?
@@craigboyd6600 because between him and god, only one of them exists.
Great to hear you give the glory to God for blessing your finances. Just subscribed.
Thank you very much, I sincerely appreciate that 😊✌️
Hi Kenny, that looks awesome. Hope you get hours and hours of enjoyment from it.
Thank you, I'm definitely looking forward to listening to it after it's broken in.
Amen Brother 🙏
😊😁......thank you very much 😊 ✌️

Denafrips has a distinctive house sound..super smooth and very very vinyl like .
Congratulations on your audio purchase! I own the Ares 12th-1 :)
Thank you very much 😊 ✌️
I've heard nothing but good things about Denafrips gear, congrats!
Thank you very much ✌️ 😊
Very nice, Kenny. Looking forward to how it sounds.
Thank you 😊
I have been retired for 8 years and I like my RC airplanes and helicopters, when I retired I thought no more buys I gotta put that money towards my budget...that didn't happen, last month I bought another helicopter for $1700.🤣🤣🤣
Throughout the 8 years there were many.."I gotta have that"🤣
LOL 😁 😆 🤣...I guess we have to take care if our hobbies, interests and gadgets, perhaps that will never go away 😊.
I'll be looking forward to your review.
It's going to take a while to get it broken in but I'm definitely looking forward to it 😊
judging from the past equipment choices, this is another good one. I wouldn't know , but suspect if I was ready to buy and knew the market, this merch would satisfy a lot of my buying triggers.
as usual, just running my mouth to trigger the payment algorithms. but I do trust this guy's judgement and insight.
Thank you very much for helping my channel with your comments 😊
The size of the box and you saying Dac when you tapped the box gave it away. 2 weeks ago, I purchased a new turntable, the Denon DP-3000ne, direct drive. It has been great and guess what Kenny, I caught a tremendous sale and got it for $700 under cost in the box. God is good Kenny, I hope you enjoy it!!!
Great, congratulations 👍...I hope that you enjoy your new turntable 😀....God is good for sure 😊✌️
A man who luvs his addiction. 💕
So true 😊😁😄
Budgets keep the hobby fun
Great choice when it comes to what next audio component to get. Make sure you try out on the new Dac Aphex twin - selected ambient works 85-92 👌🏻 on
Thank you very much for your recommendation 😊 ✌️
I'm really enjoy watching your video's. Please let us know how you like the new DAC after its broken in.
Thank you very much for watching my videos 😊 ✌️
I’m just as happy with my $70 SMSL SU-1
I started with the Ares 12 and now have the Pontus 12th. You'll be very happy with the Pontus over the Ares. In my experience the both took about two weeks to sound their best. Also I have found that it's best to leave them on if you listen to them often. Otherwise they take about an hour to sound the best after turning on. Enjoy!
Thank you very much for your advice, its much appreciated 😊 ✌️
Next you need to get the Iris DDC, it's a big upgrade in sound quality
I’ve got the Denafrips Ares 12-1 DAC and it’s no going back from there .
Those are the two Pat Metheny albums I have. I got to see around 1986, it was great. I have to disagree with you, Wichita is my favorite by quite a margin, but then again I choose In a Silent Way by a similar large margin over Bitches. I like the way those two albums slowly suck you in and take you completely away.
Your choices of "Witcita" and "In a Silent Way " are great albums...it goes to show us that there is a lot of music to fit eveyones personal taste.
Congrats on the purchase. Now looking forward to first impressions video. Do you have a streamer with i2s output or you thinking USB?
I have a streamer with a USB.
How are you liking the DAC?
I'm still breaking in the DAC and cable but as is it sounds great 👍 👌 🎶
What the heck is that? What does it do? I’ve been into stereo equipment for quite awhile and I don’t know what that is? It’s called a DAC?
There is plenty of detailed information on the internet on DACs
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews Ok then. Thanks.
Digital information is converted into an analog wave form that can be amplified, dac stands for digital to analog converter which tells you all you need to know. It's nothing more than math and we already know that 44.1khz is a high enough digital sample rate to create an analog wave form that is indistinguishable from the real thing if you had an analog tape recording to compare it to. You don't need anything special to do this, only audiophiles are gullible enough to think they need to buy magic beans to accomplish what a $2 microchip can do.
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews Ok then…. thanks.
@@Mike-jm5wtThank you sir. Never heard of such a thing. I guess it’s because I don’t really listen to much digital music. I’m generally Lp and tapes.
New subscriber and really enjoyed the video. But, not trying to be political, it seems you're a religious man (maybe Christian?) yet you bought a product from the world's most powerful atheist country. Just wondering.
There are Christians all over the world and atheists all over the world. I purchased a product from that country....not their religious beliefs.
