I never doubted Regina loved Henry because she fought so hard to keep him even at a cost to herself. It would’ve been much easier for her to let Emma take Henry away then the curse would remain. Her fighting to keep Henry is what makes Emma stay longer and risks the curse breaking.
Actually Regina has been pretty *stupid* in these 1st episodes...she WOULD have gotten rid of Emma extremely easily,all she needed to do was to SHUT UP. Emma *_wanted_*_ to drop Henry and to go away_ she was _about to!!_ The reason she decided to stay is because Regina repeatedly _tried_ to make her go away and that made her suspicious!Plus,the Curse itself was _destined_ to be broken,this is why she was 1st stopped by the wolf when she actively tried to leave the town.

jennifer morrison and lana parrilla definitely had amazing chemistry with each other! the queen is so much more than a classic two-dimensional villain, and she's yet to surprise you. and robert carlisle is not just a good actor he's great! the show wouldn't be the same without him, and that's a fact!!
I have a love-hate relationship with this show because of Robert. I mean, I hate that Stargate Universe was Cancelled, but if it had not been, what kind of Rumplestiltskin/Gold would we have gotten instead? I was a hardcore Rush/Perry shipper too so of course I would fall for Gold/Belle.
People's first impressions might be that this is just a throw away show but the show has some great character tensions and dynamics. The cast are really great and the story just gets better and better. Once I got into the first couple of episodes I couldnt help but binge watch.

"She cares about him in her own twisted way" I love that sentence so much. Because yes, she really does. She loves him more than anyone could ever imagine she's just really bad at showing it. In season two she herself says "I don't know how to love very well" (to Henry). The problem is that she has been so deprived of love throughout her entirely adulthood and the only thing life taught her was that love is weakness and you need to have power if you don't want to get hurt. Honestly she just got so much trauma causing all those mental health issues which leads to her acting and thinking the way she does.
Yes the actor that plays Rumple/Gold is one of the best ones in this series. BTW I don’t know if they have already told you but Snow and Prince Charming are married to each other and have kids in real life
And Robert Carlyle could only take the role because Stargate Universe was canceled. If it had not been, he would have been tied for at least 3 more years to the Stargate Franchise and OUaT would have had to cast someone else.

If he didn't know, he couldn't have protected himself and his memories when he exited Storybrooke to get him or any of the things he had been doing prior to Emma's arrival
So from my understanding, Mr Gold woke up from the curse when he heard Emmas name at Granny's. That's why rumpelstiltskin asked for the name from Snow White and why Mr Gold reacted the way he did when he heard it.
Nope He left Storybrooke to get Baby Henry 10 years prior. If he had been asleep/under the curse for the past 28 years that would be impossible. Spoilers . . . . . . . I'm sticking to that since, at the time of this episode you are supposed to be confused, and since SoFie is mid-season 2, and the crossing-the-barrier memory problem is out there, as of today I'll reply with only what is known now.

I love this episode sm! between Regina & Emma's standoff and Regina & Mr. Gold standoff just great. I still think the fairytale world scenes can be a bit cheesy or campy but some people like that. But getting to know the dynamics of relationships in the fairytale world makes the real world scenes very interesting. It's cool to see these different takes on classic characters and the subversion of some of the "bad characters" or "good characters" are really cool to see too. There is a "good guy" from the movies that they had as a villain which I've always thought he was all along based on the original stories. I won't say anymore then that but it was one of my fav story lines of the show among many others.
My question is: Who else could have pulled Gold/Rumpelstiltskin off if Stargate Universe had not been canceled? Robert was under 5 year contract and cancelation freed him to take the role.
I’m so happy I found a reactor actually watching this. The twists and turns and how the stories connected is just so good. Unfortunately I didn’t like the last season of this but nonetheless still would recommend this series to anyone ☺️
Every time someone's asked which Disney princess I like the most, I'd say Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I've always believed myself to be similar to her. Let me tell you, this show has strengthen that belief! That last scene between Regina and Rumpel? That has awoken something 🥵
@SoFiReactsTV Robert Carlyle, who plays Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold is an absolutely brilliant actor. You should check out his performance in Stargate Univers. That show can be watched without having watched any of the other Stargate shows.
The way how the classic characters have more depth and dramatic background stories is amazing in this. Like how they changed the Evil Queens motives. It is also interesting how they switch back and forth between the Enchanted Forest (Fairytale Land) and our world. Robert Carlyle (Rumplestilskin) is a great actor in this. His personality between Rumplestilskin and Mr Gold shows a little more difference than the other characters.
Obviously in the context of the show there are two coexisting realities, but irl, if you believe someone to be suffering from a delusion, indulging in the is *not* the move. Just vague, comforting statements until professional help can be reached.

This is an amazing serie tv, but is insane in few details, cause en just 66 episodes has more than two timelines

Rumple made a deal with Regina in episode 1 flashbacks where Regina would have to heed Rumple’s requests in Storybrooke so long as he said “please.”
