Nice to have the music from the NES games. I don't know what they were trying to do with Mega Man II, I couldn't get into that music. Speaking of music, the Weapon Get theme is very familiar... I think the TOME theme songs both took inspiration from Mega Man tracks.
I personally really liked the Mega Man World II music. It was unique and felt more... epical? This one is just a bunch of decent renditions of NES themes, most of which i prefer on the NES. And it's a shame, since this one's original songs are much better than any NES renditions.
Ah yes. I remember those Megaman tas videos and I was saying "How can he do that? I can't even pass shadow man with 1 try... He must be the best gamer" until I learned English and learned that tas means tool assisted speedrun. Oh well those memories are still great
This game is truthful to the Actual MegaMan 3 & GB MegaMan 2 while still improving on what the flaws of the first two have, the major one being music. And that's why I like 3 out of all of the game boy games.
19:42 As I was watching Zook Hero Z earlier, I realized this intro sounds like that bootleg's boss music's intro...I bet it was their inspiration or something.
I kind of like the idea of fighting four Robot Masters, then going to Wily's Castle, then encountering four more. I do question what the point of going to a completely different Wily Castle was, when they were just going to destroy it instantly. I was also amused to see elements from Megaman 3 and 4 NES in the same game, plus the bonus Robot Master at the end.

I know I'm 2 years late, but thats a sound they used in kirby
What Mega Man II was trying to do was be made by a Game Gear developer.

@@marx4538Out of all the Game Boy games, only II and V use completely different music. And they both have some good takes
@@Phun-Bun
yeah, V also has an amazing soundtrack.
I remember struggling to finish this game as a kid. Now I'm watching someone play the whole thing in 30 minutes. Ahhh the nostalgia.
I still can't pass dust man...
@@GyroMan5136 dude what, I mean, it's one of the hardest stages in the game though so I get it.

Well, consider this "someone" a superhuman of sorts.
22:46 I like that at this part Mega Man was moving, sliding, and jumping around while Dr. Wily was going into the 2nd phase.

For a Gameboy game, the music is pretty good. Any chance of a TAS run of Double Dragon?😁
Dat soundtrack!
Hell yeah. The Megaman series will always have the best 8-bit soundtrack, imo :D
This was beautiful
