Going home from school i always ride dyan sa baka na may hilang sako ng mga bigas ... what a wonderful memory it was❤
When other cities didnt exist yet & most filipinos lived in native huts. . .iloilo was already in glorious past!!!

Maganda dyan talaga sa Jaro mga 2 weeks ako nagbakasyon dyan sa boarding house ng Tiyahin ko kasi may puwesto kasi sya sa palengke. Yung simbahan na luma dun ang ganda pati yung street parang Fort Santiago ang ambiance. Tapos balik ulit ng Balasan, Estancia sa bahay ng Lolo ko. 1 month kami ng Iloilo at 2 weeks sa Negros Occidental. Sana masimulan na yang tulay na magdudugtong ng Iloilo, Guimaras at Negros Occidental.
Jaro and Estancia are written in book Pathways to Reading more than half century ago the meaning of vintage

I have pictures of my Lolo. Wearing the Katipuneros uniform in Sta. Barbara after Philippine declared Independence from Spain. My late parents didn't say much but the pictures says it all. It was their great victory for Independence from Spain. My late grandmother lived up to 1990. She was one hell of a Filipina of Spanish descent deaf but tough even my late father can't tell her what to do.

Naalala ko unang Kong pumunta sa Iloilo na may isip na, segurc 7 or 8 years old ako, dyan sa muelle loney dumaan Ang dyip galing super market papuntang Zamora at parola .. naabutan ko pa Yung terminal ng train sunod Ang planta ng coca-cola , namangha talaga ako sa nwkita ko Yung mga bote umiikot ikot at bandang huli may laman na , turo ako ng turo , Yung mga istudyante ng Iloilo maritme academy na nakaputi Akala ko mga sundalo dagdagan pa na magkatabi sila ng Negros Navigation Co. Na puti din Ang kulay ng opisina mga barko na magkatabi tabi na nagdodock. Hindi talaga mawala Ang tanawin na yun sa aking isipan. Malapit Ang istasyon ng radyo noon Ang DyRP at DypL ng abscbn . Sa dypl ako palagi pumupunta dahil mas malawak Ang compound . Ang DyRP ay sa Isang building lang . Noong nag aral na ako ng college . Dinadaanan ko pa rin Ang mga eto pero yung mga istasyon ng radyo ay sarado na. Umalis ako 1979 at nang umuwi ako noong 1995 Wala na Ang tren at Ang coca-cola plant Ang IMA ay naging jblacson na pala. Yung naiwan na lang Ang custom house .

It is good if Sen Drilon craft a law to restore the passenfger transport train in Iloilo as an attraction to local and foreign tourists.The train maybe has a special route or passing the original way where it was before.
