Eggless Strawberry Cake Recipe with sponge and decoration | No eggs | No butter | No condensed milk

  • Ever since I posted about this on instagram, you guys have wanted me to post a video on this Eggless Strawberry Cake recipe with sponge and decoration,
    This is a no eggs, no butter and no condensed milk recipe. Which makes it perfect as you only need a few affordable and easily accessible ingredients.

    Measurements -
    Ingredients for the cake base -
    curd or yogurt - 190 grams
    castor sugar or granulated sugar - 130 grams
    Oil - 80 mls
    Maida - 165 grams
    Baking powder - 1 tsp
    Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
    Salt - 1/2 tsp
    Strawberry Emulsion or essence - Few drops
    Vanilla extract or essence - 1/2 tsp
    Sugar syrup -
    1/2 cup water
    1/4 cup sugar
    strawberry emulsion or essence - optional
    Whipped cream frosting (200 grams) -

    Thank you for your wonderful recipe. Tell me one thing. In the batter, can we add strawberry pieces and then bake. I like xake without the cream.

    Hey Parth! The cake looks yum. Just a quick question. Does it have to be hung curd or the ghar ka dahi? And also can butter be used instead of oil?

      Heyyy! It can either of them! Hung curd or Ghar ka Dahi. I have used Ghar ka dahi.
      Yes you can use melted butter too but you will get a better result with oil

      @@parthbajaj Thank you! Also is there a major taste difference between a cake made by condensed milk and the one made by dahi? My condensed milk cakes turn out to be dry for some reason. So was wondering if dahi can help there.

      Yes Shreya! Dahi is the second best thing for making spongy cakes after Eggs in my opinion. Condensed milk also has sugar and with curd you can control the sweetness too
