The first quarter of this is the quintessential bassonist's ensemble experience: Endless repetitive staccatos and occasional overly long notes.
Sadly the Haydn customer service and complaints department closed in 1809, according to the Hoboken number it is a string quartet, anybody's guess.

According to Wikipedia, the second movement forms the basis of Brahms’ “Variations on a theme by Haydn!”
