+MrThejograt Cyberconnect2 has big plans for the future, I'm not sure it's dothack stuff but they might use some of its IP. With the 20th anniversary of the company and the 10th anniversary of G.U. being both this year they are starting to take big steps as a developer (opening a new studio in Montreal, hinting at worldwide releases of big projects, a VR game, an MMORPG...) I think there's stuff to be excited about and I truly believe dothack still means a lot to Hiroshi Matsuyama, too much to just ignore the franchise forever.
+PianoHaiku a new studio in Montreal eh? First time I've heard of that. TBH, I'll be really happy from either of these: 1. Re-releasing .hack//Link on Vita with some fixes and a US release 2. Remaking/releasing the original 4 games/.hack//G.U. on PS4 3. A full fledged .hack MMO on the major platforms I'm not sure if they plan to merge the series, but I'm not a really huge fan of that cause there's too many fighting games on the marketplace right now.
+MrThejograt I vote for option 3, because the other 2 can be solved with PS2 and PSP emulators that can make games really look HD. I'm currently playing hack//Link on my PC and it looks freaking awesome even in full screen, the render quality is great. Also Kazetrigger from hack//Translate is working on the next version release of the hack//Link project, which will have all main quests translated to English (he already translated 100% of the animated scenes and 70% of standard dialogue,) check the project at: dothacktranslate.wordpress.com/projects/hacklink-english-fan-translation/
I'm currently doing the same for LINK, already finished the first 4 games and GU in the same way, but I think the emu doesn't really do everything that well, although I have to agree with HD argument. I just hoped that a remaster/rerelease should draw more fans and continue support for the game
Thank you, one of the most breath taking covers for this one I've ever heard, like you said is hard to put into words the feel when you listen to this song.
you are a champion to keep the .hack// awareness up and running! i love chikayo fukuda and her work. you did an awesome job. would love to hear a piano medley of her songs done by you. Hope of Dawn, Swaying Emotions, desktop theme, and maybe even a few other like Lost resolution(now known as Prepaired to Lose). ofcourse thats a lot to demand but still good job nonetheless
Hey thank you so much for the nice comment :) I will be back home for christmas fairly soon so I'll finally have access to my piano for a week or so. I can't take all those requests, but I might upload something dothack related :P All the songs you mention are among my favorites, the problem is some of them like Hope of Dawn or Lost Resolution are composed for choir so the arrangement for piano might not make them justice. I'll think about it.
PianoHaiku well like I said it would be more of a medley. But still I know it's a lot. Since the hd remake I've seen a lot more .hack// related things in the past 5 years when .hack// didn't have anything going for it. Especially in the states. So seeing people who have put out things while nothing was happening is really cool to see.
Went back home during the holidays only to find out the camera is broken... rip recording, rip channel. Another year till I can be back home again and play the piano ^^u Anyway, CC2 is about to release the company's vision for the next 10 years which will probably hint towards the next titles... If I'm not mistaken that's happening this month so there is hope for more dothack stuff being announced :P
+YorozuyaNeesan2010 One of the reasons I recorded this is because of your cover of Gentle Hands. That reminded me it is possible to play a role in spreading awareness of how good these OSTs are and to influence people to discover them. Also, after my comments and requests for you to record dothack covers it was only fair that I did the same thing xP
Yes, the awesome FlowerEmblem made sheet music for Harald's Theme, which you can find in PDF and MIDI formats in the description of this video of her performance: /watch?v=1dTv0H-ayhw
Amazing work ! Would love to see more whenever you get the chance your covers are perfect can barely tell the difference between this and the original. The .hack fanbase is so lucky to have such talented musicians to cover the music. Keep it up
Thank you very much :) Shortly after recording this video I had to move abroad because of work, but I will certainly try to record something when I visit my family back at home, as I don't have a piano here~
just had to come back to this cover because how amazing I find your performance! also so excited for the remake that's coming out in little than 2 weeks! are you planning on purchasing it?
Hey, thank you very much ^^ I appreciate your comment. Yes of course :D I cannot wait to play G.U. all over again!!! When it was announced I was so hyped it was hard to contain the emotion!!! I'm also happy to see that the hardcore fans are still passionate about the series :) Hopefully new people discover the magic of dothack as well!
What did you find? I'm currently far away from my piano. I moved abroad so I cannot play. When I visit my parent's house for christmas maybe I'll have a chance xP
Hi there, I wanted to know if it would able to use this cover in a TH-cam video, given that I would of course link your channel and this video in the description?
Thanks for asking! As long as it's not a straight re-upload of my video, you can use it. And yeah, sharing the link in the description would be very much appreciated ^^ I checked your channel and saw that you make some dothack related content, that's cool! :)
Hi! Yes I'm alive indeed :P Not making piano videos anymore since I moved abroad 3 years ago and can only play the piano when I go visit my parents back in my home country... So it's difficult. Nowadays I only make original music and put it on soundcloud. I realize that's not what people subscribed to here so I don't use this channel that much nowadays :/ sorry. Might eventually come back or make slightly different music videos. Still thinking about it. Thanks for asking anyway :)
Also, you should check this out, this was pretty cool. www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2016/05/06-1/hack-character-designer-pays-tribute-to-20th-anniversary-of-cyberconnect2
+Steve CM Thank you for sharing this, I hadn't seen it yet! The artwork is cool, but the fact that Matsuyama is going to meet fans in all 47 prefectures is even cooler! That guy rocks xD not your average CEO...
Man it's been that long huh? Still a beautiful piece and the nostalgic PS2 game made it better
i'm so glad you made this. this game has some of the greatest ost ever
In 2021 i can't believe there is someone who love .hack. I'm glad
@@AhanReyang-hi8zz best video game ost ever created
*tears* ... those games... man. I used to love this song so much and you played my favorite part sooooo gooooood ^_^
If only support for the series continued...
My hopes and dreams still linger on.

I love your version of auras theme
More of a cover of the end game credits from the ever so evasive disc 4. Still good though.
@@Yotsuga My exposure to .hack began in Quarantine.
So beautiful. You did excellent work here.
Thank you, one of the most breath taking covers for this one I've ever heard, like you said is hard to put into words the feel when you listen to this song.
+Selzyr Axe Thank you. After having played the 4 games and towards the end of Quarantine this track is played and it hits you right in the feels xP

PianoHaiku awe that's really lame. Although the hope of a new .hack// is always exciting. Hopefully something is announced soon.
This was absolutely lovely. I need to cover more .hack series songs. They are too good.
