Just stumbled across your video, very nice trophy you got there! I have one just like it, all original everything, even tires . No coating in tank or anything. It probably doesn’t even have 50 hours ride Time on it. They bring back my childhood memories for sure! Nice collection you got there! Keep finding them!
185's looks pretty good. I have a 83 185's I just restored & bored to a 200 (192cm3) and got it looking mint with all decals. Love these things, glad others do as well.
I did put a 25mm mikuni carb and it runs a lot stronger. Also a complete dg exhaust. And a dg grab bar. Also I have ambush tires on mine which are similar to the hole shots
Now that’s a beautiful 86! Very nice second gen 200x you have there! Wouldn’t mind having another one myself to put on display and stare at! These are one of my favorite machines next to the 86 350x, I ride the wheels off my 86 200X and it’s been nothing but reliable, tough, and has never let me down! If your interested in seeing what you can do with the second gen 200X 3 wheeler I have plenty of riding videos on my channel, @ ATC REVOLUTION These are awesome little trikes, very capable!
@@atcofnj5509 I now have 2, both are 1986. One of them is my childhood one my Dad shoved In a shed 16 years ago he ended up giving me. It's pretty clean and complete.
They're easier to get running than you think. Lots of Facebook groups filled with helpful people and TH-cam videos to get you on your way. Just remember: spark+fuel+air=combustion. If you got all 3 she'll run.
Refurb’ed models will cost a small fortune. Your best bet is to continue to try to hunt for one privately and pick one up cheap. The market is on fire currently.
I think the engine in your 86 200x is really an 87. On the 86, the end of the fins are rounded and painted black. On the 87 they were cut and left unpainted. Check your engine #. If it reads TB05E 63...... it's an 86. If it reads TB05E 64...... it's an 87. Keep in mind only 3,538 87's were manufactured. It could also be that someone replaced the top end with an 87. I'm curious, can you let me know the outcome?
You’re missing the frame caps on the rear section of the frame, get ahold of Dalton Grider on the Facebook atc groups or go on eBay, he has them for sale

Big Reds rock! Thanks for watching!
How do you get your bikes up into your loft?
I have a sliding electric hoist which is built into the main beam of my garage structure.
How much did you pick it up for?
it's missing the top bolt on the right side lower triple clamp.
Do you know of anyone who refurbs these for resale? I’d like to buy one to trail ride. I had a big red back in the day. THX
