I saw these guys so many times growing up. I'll be turning 50 in December great memories. my friends and I had to make a true effort to see them. we lived in northern Minnesota and the closest place they played was120 miles away. seen them over 25 times back then. PS. one night at the press bar in saint cloud I hooked up with a chick at her first slave raider show. I had talked with the band many times before and asked her if she wanted to meet any of them. during one of their breaks I introduced her to lance he asked if she would like to see backstage. I never saw her again
Us old guys... Talked to them many time in Fargo.. My brush with FAME ! and yes even proud of it! great bad and great people.. wish i could say 25 times.. but i am sure 10+ and loved them every time.. its been so long but I think they opened for Poison in Fargo.. and had more response .. (fair disclose, i am not a poison fan) but went to see them... I still have all the CD's with a bunch of guitar Picks form the shows in CD cases.. Proud owner of them :) Odd how Jackyl stole his chainsaw bit.. (Jackyl rocks too!) and road it to more success.
I bought this on cassette when it was first released. I've long since worn the tape out so great to hear this again. I'm 54 next month but couldn't resist getting up for a quick headbang. Rock/Metal at its best. Thanks for the upload.
This band had it all. Killer vocals, guitars, a gimmick. Great musicians. And LIVE nobody could top them. Doing covers they made the original bands look silly with their renditions. Should have been huge but in my eyes they were!!!! The RAID!!!
20 - 30 times watching these rockers live. From the Twin cities, New Munich, St. Joseph, Clarissa, Browerville, Brainerd… god I can’t remember them all. But I definitely love every single time Chain would see the fights and flip the patch up to watch a little closer…
saw them at the horseshoe lake ballroom in browerville mn back in the day. tried getting on stage for a boot to the head lol but they give me a drumstick later I guess to say sorry. great night any way!!
slave Rader was best ballroom Rockstars and they weee awsome @ Pla-mor . ballroom Glencoe . Winsted . Gibbon .Island Ballroom Bird I sland . we rarely missed Chainsaw Kain and his live chainsaw.. and these guys weee better than most of the 80s metal bands and we witnessed the upstarts make it to mtv.. wonder what the guys ade doing now they should be on tour with hairball. id love to see them again .. along way from home is got.my toes rapping and singing tryimg to recapture the euphoria .
1. Take The World By Storm 2. Backstabbin' 3. Make Some Noise 4. Burnin' Too Hot 5. Long Way From Home 6. Survival Of The Fittest 7. The Devil Comes Out In Me 8. The Black Hole
There is an official CD release. 1988 Jive 1088-2-J. Edit: My mistake. Skipped right over 'original mix' even though it's in the first three words -_-.
"Make some noise" and "The black hole" is not like which I've known... I prefer the other version of these two songs (I don't know from which version was that)... It was way better especially in guitar solos...
Officially lost my Rock and Roll Virginity 7th grade - August 1987 - the Barn in Alexandria MN. Haven’t been the same since
God!!! Does this bring back the BEST memories!!!

This is SR's best album, why is it not on Spotify?
This album turns 30 on Halloween \m/oOo\m/
this doesn't sound like the vinyl release, but - it's still awesome!
Nicolas D. Sampson - I promise you, it is. The 1986 version, and the 1988 re-release have different mixes.

Is the original mix or remix better?
23:34 devil
The demo was better. This is more refined but after hearing the demo so many times the changes here seem odd. Good stiff though.
This is the demo
