lighter, was the great twist here anyway. Real Question is which material is cheap between hydrogen or helium ? my point of view was both are flows opposite of gravity.
In the spirit of true science he decided to allow us to watch the trials and tribulations involved in the subject and all credit to him for it. As such I learnt more than I expected to from it. The 5 P principle did come to mind though! (Poor Preperation leads to P*** Poor Performance).
I was really expecting you to light up the alcohol . When i was in the USAF soe Airmen used deiceing fluid in their lighters. That resulting in burnt noses and eyelashes
@@CharlotteFairchild Hydrogen Peroxide does ignite quite forcefully and can do so without the presence of oxygen. That is why it is sold in solutions that are 95% water. It is also quite toxic to many forms of life, but humans have an enzyme that literally rips the hydrogen peroxide molecules apart. That's why hydrogen peroxide bubbles when you put it on a open wound.
Was thinking this. Like making a mechanism to control or dampen the explosion to be more controlled or dampen an accidental explosion when it is unintentionally ignited in lets say a water run car.
LOL!! I know. I'm wondering if he was trying to be funny on purpose. I mean, the part where he turns the alcohol bottle completely horizontal !!! Hahaha, good stuff.
My Dad was in North Carolina in 1945 learning about dirigibles and becoming a mechanic in the Navy. He said he saw one Hydrogen explosion and no one died. The next year he was involved in Operation High Jump. Ozone? Is Ozone explosive?
Ozone is not explosive in and of it self, but it is unstable and has 50% more oxygen than a normal oxygen atom. This means that a fuel in the presence of ozone is more likely to ignite and will burn faster than it would in normal air.
Mike standing quietly in the background of so many of my videos. This was the only time he actually reached in. A month later he was dead and I realized that this was the only time he ever appeared, so I decided to keep it.
This is so bad, so lame that it's a thing unto itself! Note to professor: Get several lighters, use something more flammable than denatured alcohol, which barely burns in the best of times.
Clumsy Teacher please nextime don't edit your vid, keep it like this, maybe think more in advance, but you're honest and make for some good and fun learning time!
You can. I am actually curious to find out how much hydrogen I could mix into helium before the mixture becomes flammable. Right now we are having a helium shortage, hydrogen is cheap to make and even more buoyant.
Back like 15 years ago it was winter and we had balloons and we used lighters to explode them and at night there was a visible fire ball in the shape of a ball…I remember we even got in trouble and the balloons got taken out lol and this and other videos are saying helium isn’t flammable…so what was in the balloons we set on fire that night 15 years ago? Makes no sense for it to be hydrogen lol
Safety first?! You are using an unreliable tool to ignite a known flammable gas, over the top of a accidentally spilt liquid, that evaporates rapidly creating flammable vapors, next to the open container of said liquid still evaporating creating more flammable vapors. Safety first is a joke. There are dangers to any action. If Safety were truly first no one would do anything. 1st should be, what action needs to be accomplished? 2nd should be, why it needs to be done? 3rd, when does it need to be done? 4th how can this action be completed in the given parameters with the least likely hood of failure. ie Safety
FACT: Half of this video just show failure to light on the lighter
Fun fact u have 69 likes also yes I watched the video
HAHAHHAA
Half it's more like 2/3 of the video
another fact: dont buy shitty lighters, if you value your fingers
Why he can’t use candle😂
00:56 The very moment ROnNiE COLeMAn assisted you with fire I knew this is a respectable theory
Lmfao
I can't stop myself to laugh..... his lighter ohh my god
That pain
This video was supposed to be fun and informative.
This mans complete lack of safety protocols actually made me anxious.
Thanks, I actually wanted to see hydrogen burn instead of exploding.
The fact he still uploaded the whole thing.
Thank u this very helpful im admire u and your work have a good day
Thanks
Loooool all the things that could possibly go wrong video! XD I thought the table would catch fire tooXD
2:40 The Hindenburg disaster (1937, colorized)
1:04 thank you Mr. Crews
lighter, was the great twist here anyway. Real Question is which material is cheap between hydrogen or helium ? my point of view was both are flows opposite of gravity.
Can tell he not a smoker.
is that Ronnie Coleman?00:57
Yes. Why he's there..no idea but it's him
This man trying to light a lighter is dangerous than the Hydrogen 😂😅
That’s what brought down the Hindenburg because hydrogen mixed with air is very flammable
In the spirit of true science he decided to allow us to watch the trials and tribulations involved in the subject and all credit to him for it. As such I learnt more than I expected to from it. The 5 P principle did come to mind though! (Poor Preperation leads to P*** Poor Performance).
THank YOu for sharing. I laughed so hard and I need a good one. YOu did good in the world today.
I was really expecting you to light up the alcohol .
When i was in the USAF soe Airmen used deiceing fluid in their lighters. That resulting in burnt noses and eyelashes
Crazy
Should mention how much weight each one is lifting to get the efficiency of hydrogen versus helium
The lighter wildin 😅😅😅😅😅😅
does your voice become high-pitched when you breathe in hydrogen?
Even higher pitched, but you should be careful. Although Hydrogen is not toxic, it could kill you if it ignited in your lungs.
@@benjaminmerritt5935 woah
@@benjaminmerritt5935 I know people who drink hydrogen peroxide. Does hydrogen peroxide ignite?

Hes good and informative just didnt realize he bought the crackhead lighter 😂
The last time he did this, the sun was made... He smacked two lumps of rock together and made the planets..... Could this be god himself?
What kind of plastic bag was used in your experiment
These are produce bags from the local market. They are light weight and transparent, but you should check them for holes before you use them.
Why didn’t you reshoot this with a better lighter?😅😄
so this was recorded during Covid 19zz
What if, we mix both gas?
Wtf he is the most nervouse teacher.
Nonsense! There is a music teacher in Pittsburg who is more nervous.
@@benjaminmerritt5935 😂
Mikes got decent guns man
Wow
If I had those things I would make and extra star 💫 (something like sun’s ingredients)
😂
To be honest I liked the video, it made me laugh while having breakfast. Thanks to the lighter.
Sooooo.... Helium is in the upper atmosphere right...?
Dang you are sketchy for a science teacher. You spilled the alcohol, had it open and were lighting hydrogen
Nice!
Click click click click click
Fire baaaaaad!
Me trying to light a cigarette with my dead lighter
The lighter 🤣🤣🤣
Replace professor and press any key to continue. (I hope you won't try to find the key 🔑)
Demonstration 😅 how to light the toothpick.
Let us know when you figure out how to light a match.
oh so your telling me the airship accident was sabotage... neat...
Is there a way to make hydrogen less explosive ?
Was thinking this. Like making a mechanism to control or dampen the explosion to be more controlled or dampen an accidental explosion when it is unintentionally ignited in lets say a water run car.
But hydrogen produce more lift, let's say if those two balloons are the same size, then the hydrogen one fly better
yes
Science😳😂
Next time have a freaking . propane torch .
The lighter probably is on safety mode that's mean she thinks you gonna light a cigarette 😂
single second more and it would be ROFL death 🤣
He was actually Being angry with lighter
Get a bunson burner for Pete’s sake!
Such profound incompetence.
But informative.
how make a helium?
this is a freaking mess
buy a torch gun. more convenience.
his lighter lmfaooo
This is more kinda funny vdo than a science experiment 🤣
LOL!! I know. I'm wondering if he was trying to be funny on purpose. I mean, the part where he turns the alcohol bottle completely horizontal !!! Hahaha, good stuff.
Barbecue matches and a candle next time
Burning plastic inside class room is not a good thing.
Bro made a fire in a classroom
Damn lighter
Lighter😆😆😆😅😅

HYDROGEN AND HELIUM GAS LIKE A BALLON
why wouldn't he change the lighter
please change the lighter
How you didn’t make a sun? Sun is made of hydrogen+ helium!
I don't have any bags big enough.
There is no way this is a real video.
WHY WOULDNT YOU JUST DO A SECOND TAKE LMAOOO.

Which one hydrogen here
they can go boom boom
i came comment section after failure from lighter
Jesus. At least he's not teaching gender studies.

Spend the extra dollar and buy a bic

Next time try using spaghetti sticks Instead of a chopstick. They burn much easier :)
dude u have to point the stick down to sustain fire
Idk , hand sanitizer isn't a thing I guess
but your lighter is not little more reactive :D
can you not mix the 2?
You can. I am actually curious to find out how much hydrogen I could mix into helium before the mixture becomes flammable. Right now we are having a helium shortage, hydrogen is cheap to make and even more buoyant.
😂😂🤣🤣
Lighter: Made in China
give hydrogen to sun if you give it to sun it will last longer because more hydrogen to transfer to helium
😂😂😂 what the heck is going on
U just messed up 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
experiment with chinese equipment
😆😂
Cringe attack

get a kitchen lighter

Helium isn't much good as a fuel though.
