I bought an unbranded Bluetooth 5.0 USB dongle for my Windows 11 PC. The drive that came with the device (on a CD), does not install correctly, giving an error message that adequate permissions are not available for installing files in the System32 sub-folder. I tried changing the permissions for this System directory, but no success.
How to speed up Windows with Regedit and Windows. It seems like there is way more Registry edits for Windows 7 then any other Windows version though which it is making it harder to find very many for speeding up a computer. I love editting the system registry. Been doing is for years. Of course backing up the registry first.
I chose to uninstall the driver and the computer restarted automatically with my external hard drive already plugging, and the problem was solved. you just saved the day
I was playing Fallout New Vegas and suddenly my game froze up so I had to force shut down but after I clicked on the icon of the game, it said I hadn't installed the game so I tried to enter in my d drive (hdd) and it gave me a message that said "can't open due to fatal error" so I restarted my laptop and boom all my drives except c (SSD) were gone.
Thankyou so much. I was so upset when my computer wasn't detecting my hard drive anymore. I had it for over 2 years with no issues then all of a sudden it wasn't working properly. Def getting a like.
Wow you are the best. Been following you for years through so many Windows systems I have had. don't know if users realize how long you have been doing these videos. It's been a a long time. Got a new computer and I made sure right away I have you in my favorites. Thank so kindly for all the great help all the years. No time wasted here ever. I was wondering if you had any wallpaper I wanted to place is as my desktop wallpaper with the new computer but I will check Google next for it. Have a blessed day. Regarding my issue trying to get my internal drive working. I tried other videos but they lacked on all of the possibilities it could be. Your was much more thorough. I tried every thing and nothing worked so it looks like the drive failed. I bought a used hard drive. So the data isn't mine. No need to save the files. I got it for $10.00 so not a huge loss. So much for saving money and buying used.
Thank you so much, I installed a new hard drive and I couldn't see it in disk management. The fix that worked for me was Hardware and Devices Troubleshoot (7:11)
I'd like to know more about 'dynamic disks' and why sometimes I get this warning when using DIsk Management? I usually back out as I don't want to mess up my computer.
Love how Windows 11 told me the drive had no errors the day before it failed (not even shown in the BIOS). I've a couple hard drives that are 15 years old, 2 that over 10, but my backup drive failed after 5 years. Go figure.
I tried the cmd line that you mentioned in the video @ 7min 25 sec, but when the corresponding window opens, I receive an error msg stating "Windows Online Troubleshooting Service is disabled Windows Online Troubleshooting Service is not enabled for this version of Windows".....Which is really strange because I haven't disabled any of the error reporting or troubleshooter either, I'm good on malware, just did a scan, and it came back clean, sfc /scannow doesn't report any corrupted files either. My windows version is Windows 11 22h2 Build 22621.1635.
I know this was a year ago so you probably are past this. But I got the same error and then realized I had typed "msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostics" it should be "msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic" with out the s on the end of diagnostic.
Typical steps which I find them important to do but when you have the problem you freak out and forget the steps. A perfect guidelines for even exports! ❤
I installed a new power supply. Hard drive was working perfectly fine. I plugged everything in and double checked everything there is a 0% chance of anything being loose or not plugged in properly. My problem isn’t that it won’t show up in files, I won’t show up in device manager, it won’t show up in bios, it’s completely gone. And I’m tearing my hair out trying to figure out why the hell this isn’t working
A potential hardware issue could be that the interface controller in the drive has failed and it’s a failure that will usually happens suddenly without warning and in that scenario the only way to get your data back is to replace the failed interface controller or to get a data recovery business to recover your data which should be fully recoverable in that scenario. However you will need to know the decryption password to access it if the drive is encrypted.
One for you to tackle, Brian?. One of the Flash Drives I use for back-up (good quality) is now 'not recognised'. I have tried all the DISM and CHKDSK variations and actually go it to display briefly, so I know all the files are still there. Tried assigning a fresh Drive letter too, to no avail. (Thinks: "How can I format it, if it's not recognised?!") One for a future video, perhaps? Meantime, I have other backups and will format the drive and then re-use it, after checking for any viruses.
"What to Do if Hard Drive is Not Detected" is the title --then almost right away the video states that it is seen in "disk management"=SO it IS detected. Not too useful if one that is seeking a remedy to a problem where a drive is NOT detected. However many SOLUTIONS on you-tube follow exactly this same manner of "dealing" with this issue=they don't.
Damn. This video f**ed up my system. I did the process twice and nothing's changed. And it's even slower than before and my other hard drive won't even show up in windows explorer anymore...thanks🙏🏽🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Please, thank you for your Excellent tutorials. * My External harddrive turns to RAW and it cannot show at the drive panel . I mean when you format it did not complete successfully. But if I go to Disk Management it shows there . But why not showing at main drive areas. Is there any software to use to fix this
I recently had this issue after a windows update on my brand new M.2 which I was using as a boot drive. I'm not sure if M.2 came out of the slot or the windows update broke my bios but we took the drive out looked it over and then reinserted it and it started working again it was bolted in with the M.2 shield originally so it shouldn't have come out of the slot.
Change of subject I have two different harddrive s on my pc can you make the computer asking you for what harddrive you want to load from my pc used to ask first but lately just loading from one harddrive I know you can go into bio's and boot from the other drive but a lot easier when you just have to pick from two been following you for years thanks in advance
Please bro make a video on this topic because I recently faced this issue with my HDD partition... I tried everything to solve it but nothing is happening and I have my study material in it and now I am unable to access it...
Have you tried a program called Mini Tool Partition Wizard ? If you do a full scan with that using the Partition Recovery option, and it finds the lost-deleted partitions. assign a drive letter to the drive Quickly! then pull the data off it right away. Sounds like your drives either on its way to hell or been eaten by a virus. Good luck!
I have a HD in my car for Sat Nav maps ( hidden behind the dash somewhere ). My car no longer see's the drive. Is the problem more likely to be a failed HD or an issue with the cables ? tia.
so i "had" a giant stack of hhd's that wouldn't even show up in windows diskpart. been collecting for years. I just couldn't bring myself to throw them out. just recently I started messing with Linux again, open suse distro. yesterday I was bored and started throwing in these old broken hhd's to see if any of them came back and its amazing, more than half of them are fine now. windows wouldn't even recognize they were connected but linux allowed be to completely clean and re format them. I've tried two of them on my windows rig and they're fine now. they show up and work. im going to go through the rest and see what happens but I'm just amazed right now. windows really does suck, all the pc nerds aren't just saying that for no reason.

I have an issue with a 1Tb SATA SSD. A Western Digital Blue, I was doing a Low Level Reformat & about 2 minutes later I heard the USB noise on the PC I was doing this with & the Drive can no longer be Detected. If I plug it in I get no USB sound whatsoever. I tried using CMD & Disk Manager to detect it but to no avail. It was used but I have only had 2 used SSDs die on me out of many Dozens I have purchased & both were older Intel SSDs that failed on me in the past. This Western Digital blue Drive didnt even handle a reformat & now cant even be seen by a PC, not sure if anything can fix this & it isnt worth sending to a Data Recovery place, there was nothing on the Drive.
I bought a new 1tb drive and it wont get recognized, not even in the computer managment section. can you say what I could do to fix this issue? Anyways Have a nice day!
I just installed a new Samsung 1 tb SSD onto the motherboard of my pc and it doesn't show up in computer management at all, only my other 500 gb ssd and 2 tb harddrive do. what do i do now?
I think the most recent windows 10 update bricked my secondary drive. It was able to detected it for a few minutes on start but then it no longer shows up.
Hello my drive d keeps on disappearing after I opened my laptop, it shows for a while then its gone again it doesn't even show on disk management, what should I do?

All the data recovery programs i can't use because it won't show up. Yesterday i was working fine and i was transferring data. I hope really someone can help me here. I just need my files, man
If the hard drive is not showing in the BIOS, then I can think of only 3 things it could be: 1. The hard drive is no longer functioning (either faulty or the power cable to the hard drive is not plugged in properly), 2. The connection / cable from the hard drive to the motherboard is faulty or not plugged in properly (check both ends of cable), 3. the settings in the BIOS is turned off for that specific SATA port (SATA0, SATA1, SATA2, etc...).
Did check disc and got this msg Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Did the trouble shoot got this msg Problems found Windows Update configured to never install drivers. Not sure what this means or why it was there in the first place

How long do they last and which one lasts the longest?
Very good video! I didn't know all of that!
Would it be useful to check that it is recognised in the BIOS?
Yes

All the data recovery programs i can't use because it won't show up. Yesterday i was working fine and i was transferring data. I hope really someone can help me here. I just need my files, man
if it shows up in disk management its detected, so why would you name this video "when hdd is not detected"????
Why my hard drive not show bios menu plz explain
If the hard drive is not showing in the BIOS, then I can think of only 3 things it could be: 1. The hard drive is no longer functioning (either faulty or the power cable to the hard drive is not plugged in properly), 2. The connection / cable from the hard drive to the motherboard is faulty or not plugged in properly (check both ends of cable), 3. the settings in the BIOS is turned off for that specific SATA port (SATA0, SATA1, SATA2, etc...).
@@terry9397 4. Incompatibility problems or a bug in the BIOS firmware.
@@terry9397 No, I connected another hard drive, it works fine, but only this hard drive doesn't show up.
