It's about time, se waited 1 week and a half to have a summary and the semifinal and final were not shown by Olympics / Eurosport Warner Brothers and we are in credit of an apology and a refund.

He got the highest score of the competition, but it was in an earlier round. It was also in much better conditions (bigger waves). In his semi, he kept waiting for a significant wave that never came in the allotted time.

How do the judges evaluate scores here since this sport heavily relies on natural phenomenon. Waves vary from size, duration, and power because of wind (which is also not constant).
They consider how well the wave could be ridden on a given day considering all the factors you mentioned.
