Garage Door framing "How To"

Today I talk about How to frame your garage door opening from rough stud opening to finish opening. You should always make your rough opening 6" wider than your actual door width and height should be exact. For the width install a king and Jack stud on each side flush on the inside. Then cover with osb or drywall before your door install. Or Option B install a King and a jack stud and then mount a 2x6 flat on the inside. This way you can mount osb ,drywall,etc flush to the 2x6 for a finish look after the door is installed. How this helps. #diyproject #educational #tutorial
