Happy Easter everyone!🐣 hope you are having a great time with your instrument! Seems like we crushed the last Anime Challenge - guess I will have to continue practicing that one 🙈😝😂
Happy Easter!! One question, is it possible to play a piece in reverse mode? I'm at the beginning of piano learning and I'm curious to know if this is possible.
You should absolutely try to do a 1 minute, 10 minutes, and 1 hour with Mephisto Waltz. I know it's nowhere near enough time to learn that piece, but if you haven't already, that'd be a fun one to see. I noticed you had it in the background of your video and would just be interested in hearing that piece in one of your challenges.
I would love to see a challenge with Rachmaninoff’s etude tableau op 39 no 6 ‘’little red riding hood’’ or with Gaspard de la Nuit I ‘’ondine’’ by Ravel
I love the fact that when you miss a lot of notes the X gets bigger XD, btw you are very good at these challenges keep up! Greetings from Italy! And happy Easter!
Hi Annique, What I appreciate about you is that while working you keep a good sense of humor. We all know that music and the piano are difficult for everyone. Even the 'great pianists' also have trouble, we sometimes forget that. You should always have a lot of patience with yourself and the best thing is to keep your spirits up. You got it right! The piano is your job, and you know how to work, that's the most important thing. Continue and congratulations to show how you manage to arrive, it motivates all the other musicians, pianists... and others.
You are great ! This piece is a finger breaker ! When Schumann published it he said it was the most difficult piece of the repertoire. At that time it might have been very true. You are really great !!
i also think different rhytms help SOO MUCH with dealing w/ hard and difficult passages. Thats so nice to see that a legit pianist also does that as i do and thinks its helpful. Also i love the background piece you choose fot yhis video. Love to see you play mephisto waltz some day, would like to listen to your interpretetion:):)
You should do the challenge with Ravel’s Une barque sur l’ocean, such an underrated piece but it’s so beautiful (and so difficult… I’d be curious to see how you’d tackle that one)
I do use different rhythms, but honestly it is mostly about avoiding getting bored for me. If I try to learn the piece really well it can get interesting :)
As a Horn player, I enjoy your approach to learning a new work, especially your varying the rhythms. Some suggestions: imagine that you are singing the piece and finding/choosing the places to breathe. And, have a listen to both Gilels’ and Pogorelich’s young and mature recordings (they are on TH-cam).
Keep learning!! I love this piece so, so, sooo much. I've been learning it on and off for about 4 years now, and I'm 10 measures from finishing. Still a lot of technique and polishing to do though lol. More people need to see this piece and learn it. Thank you very much for sharing
I’ve definitely used alternate rhythms for sections. I’ll also do different groupings of notes. For example; Go from beat 4 to beat 1. Then add an extra beat. Etc.
Hi @Heart of Keys, I would like to ask you to try this song next "Music for the Sadness of Xion" of the Kingdom Hearts Field & Battle Piano Collections I think if you would be able to play that song I'm sure that would be the key to unlock our hearts
Just love your videos! What would be funny is grand galop chromatique bei franz liszt. Short piece, insanely challenging and probably great for you too to play! Keep it up :)
Although you couldn't make it perfect in such a short period of time, I think this piece exactly suits your nature. I loved how the different voices clearly came out which is not always the case with other pianists. I think you should practice it for about a year, get it into a solid tempo, and make it your landmark.
You make it look like so much fun. I think I need to change my attitude toward practicing. It really sound good to me. I didn't know about relaxation points, good idea.
For this piece the challenge should be "one hour, one month, one year"! 😂 I learnt this amazing Toccata at age 17, but I didn't feel comfortable performing it in recitals until several years later, in my mid-20s. Brahms-Paganini (both books) despite the difficulty and the length, interestingly enough didn't need as much time to make me feel comfortable with it. Some passages in this Toccata are still after decades "high risk". That was a great attempt in just one hour!
You can try to do this chalenge with "Grande fantaisie triomphale sur l'hymne national brésilien, Op.69" and premiere the video on Brazilian independence day
Entertaining and educational as always! To learn even the first passage of the Toccata in one hour is very impressive to me-if I tried, I would probably take me an hour to learn the first ten bars. I found it interesting that you practice hands separate, and also using different rhythms. My teacher, a retired concert pianist, recommends practicing with the different rhythms like you do, but not hands separate. I also loved the Mephisto Waltz in the background (the only problem was that the amazing playing distracted me from what you were saying). Happy Easter! 🎹🎹🐰🐰❤️❤️
Could you try this with Vers la Flamme by Scriabin? The opening is simple but the last section is very difficult! Anyways happy Easter to anyone who reads this :D
The only time "different rythms" helped me is when I first tackled the Chopin Fantasie Impromptu in C#m; and even then it wasn't so much a different rythm as it was a different way of looking at the given rythm: I knew I could do triplets and eight note coordination, so I started off just playing every other note in the right hand so I could get how the hands coordinated. Then I filled in the in-between sixteenth notes.
Can you also do this with the Sonata in D minor (k141) from Domenico Scarlatti? I would say it is one of the signature pieces from Martha Argerich and it would be very interesting to hear it from you, I think :)
The biggest issue with this "thing" is to find the sweet spot between "not practicing enough to make progress" and "developing RSI and serious finger injury", and for me that sweet spot is just too narrow. Practicing this one hour without an expression of pain in your face is already a feat.
Never tried the toccata… but I‘m working on the Humoreske Op. 20 - would like to see a challenge from you with that piece ( Especially Intermezzo 126 bpm how would you solve this?!? 🙆🏻♂️😅 ) 🤗 With many pieces of Schumann it seems to me that his wife Clara inspired him to write technically hard music for the piano. I highly recommend to read Peter Härtlings Biography „Schumanns Schatten“ to get a better understanding of Roberts music.
I've spent hours watching youtube videos of every pianist who has tackled this obstacle course. The surprising thing is that only a few of them actually sound musical to my ears even though most of them hit most of the notes and that is why I think it is difficult 🙃
honestly simply practice. if I remember correctly she's been playing more than 20 years. the more you practice, the theoretically faster you will become
Your best challenge in your life. But I learn faster, and this is not the most important. The most important is know and do the best music, in the highest emotional quality, and in that you are much better than me. Thanks a lot for recognize another amazing thing never will happen in my life.
I was never taught how to read music sheets🥲i just know the letters of the notes, its kind of a disadvantage if you ask me😭wish i knew how to read music notes. I need help😔
Annique, I would be very glad if you could recommend the viewers of your channel to also have a look at Denis Zhdanov's youtube channel! In his "Sounds of Free Ukraine" video he plays nice pieces of Ukrainian composers to raise funds for the people in Ukraine. He is a master pianist, but sadly only has 4450 followers right now. I hope many more will subscribe soon. Keep on the good work. You rock!

RACHMANINOFF!!
RACHMANINOFF!
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD!
I do use different rhythms, but honestly it is mostly about avoiding getting bored for me. If I try to learn the piece really well it can get interesting :)
Annique you are a delight, and you have talented sense of humor in your video editing which is always good to have.😊😘🥰
great video!
maybe next time a famous jazz piece? always interesting to watch a classically trained pianist perform jazz :D
What's up Annique! Welcome back to another episode of torture!
Thanks so much for producing content.
I am LOVING this! The floating red ❌ is hilarious! Reminds me of trying to play in Smart Music. 😂
You are so good at the piano especially sight reading !!!!!

PERFECT AS ALWAYS
Probably the most piece you took up for this challenge so far! Amazing job!
Currently learning a few pieces from Schumann's Kinderszenen. Op. 15 No. 1 and No. 7
me too, 1, 4 and 13
Wow
How does she have a so good slight read!😮
I’ve definitely used alternate rhythms for sections. I’ll also do different groupings of notes. For example; Go from beat 4 to beat 1. Then add an extra beat. Etc.
Would love to see a Bach piece in this challenge!
I absolutely love ❤️ the music you have during the time lapse 😂 I really love ❤️ it
Could you do this challenge with Davidsbündlertänze by Schumann ?
Love your videos !
Thank you very much🔥 You motivated me to go and disassemble a new work right now🤓
Hi @Heart of Keys, I would like to ask you to try this song next "Music for the Sadness of Xion" of the Kingdom Hearts Field & Battle Piano Collections I think if you would be able to play that song
I'm sure that would be the key to unlock our hearts
That was awesome! I'm playing Schumann sonata no. 2
Really liked this one!! Could you maybe do Schubert drei klavierstücke no. 1 ? Thanks 😇
Just love your videos! What would be funny is grand galop chromatique bei franz liszt. Short piece, insanely challenging and probably great for you too to play! Keep it up :)
Please 1 minute, ten minutes and one hour of Rachmaninoff’s polichinelle op 3 no 4!!!
I think another great piece for this challenge would be Liebesleid (Love’s sorrow) arr. from Rachmaninoff

great video! but maybe an idea to let us listen to the recording of the piece first before you start with the challenge 😃
I support
you can easily find recordings of the piece on TH-cam
Trust me. She definitely knew the piece before too.
You should do a challenge where after the one hour, you play until you're satisfied or at least somewhat satisfied with how you play the piece🙏
looove these series!😍
You should do chaccone in g major by handel, really good piece
You did well!!!
i would love to see chopin's nocturne op.55 no.2! not so many people played this piece despite it being so beautifully written 🥺
You can try to do this chalenge with "Grande fantaisie triomphale sur l'hymne national brésilien, Op.69" and premiere the video on Brazilian independence day
I don't play this one but I play Czerny's toccata slowly to warm up sometimes hehe!

Hello. Could you pls do a challenge on Schumann’s Smuggler ?
Many thanks. Love your channel
My dream piece is Saint-Saëns Tocatta Op. 111 No. 6. I'll get there one day, but you're right: tocattas can be crazy difficult.
Could you try this with Vers la Flamme by Scriabin? The opening is simple but the last section is very difficult! Anyways happy Easter to anyone who reads this :D

Does the 1 min, 10 min, 1 hour challenge help you finish pieces faster? Are you able to keep momentum going after you do the challenge?
If you want a really Intense piece to play, try "marigold" the cover from phyxinon.
I've never seen someone playing it correctly.
i would like to see your Rach 3 , 3 mov 😍

My daughter is playing Schumann's Vogel als prophet, would be fun to do a challenge
Your brilliance and beauty always captivates me, would be a dream to take you out to dinner 🌹 Happy Easter from the United States!
Könntest du mal von schumann Vogel als Prophet spielen? Ich mag das total und ich würd mich voll freuen

The headbanging lmao
Hey Annique, what do you think is the best way to learn sight reading?
It's a very V E r Y hard piece. Argerich does something unhuman with it. Other worldly.
Felicidades ...👍
What piece is played in the background at 7:28? Its driving me kinda nuts that i cant remember the name of the piece
Liszt - Mephisto Waltz No.1 (It's amazing :D)
@@beastasfiist ahh yes. Thank you so very much😁
I love your videos!! It's so entertaining. Could you try to do Howl's Moving Castle by any chance? (The best and quite hard is that tik tok version)
I challenge you to play this one on 1 hour: Genshin Impact - Symphony of the Boreal Wind (Wolf Boss Battle) Piano Version
I’d love to see kreislers love sorrow Rachmaninov piano arrangement
