If only the three protagonists had escaped, they would take the other children who meet the necessary age. But she underestimated all the other children older than 6 years, and never thought that they would not escape over the bridge, which was a certain death for them.

Chapter 37, one of the manga chapter this episode is based on, is actually the first chapter I read, and with no context on what the heck's going on, I still cried at Isabella's monologue, that's how powerful that scene is, and the panel where she hug the imaginary kids in her arm is one of the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen. Too bad they cut the scene, especially the most tragic line ever written in anime history "I wish I could have just loved you all normally."
Well, for me (and some people i guess) the line itself is already implied by isabella's expression and all... But yeah, if it's used it will break so many people lol
Promised Neverland is so unique to me from all the other animes, I'd say on the levels of Spirited Away. I love anime like OP, Naruto and HxH, but Promised Neverland appeals in a different and magical way. I'll never forget this piece of art.
