Great Hardcore from "87" and beyond. Jeff is the Real Deal when it comes to Hardcore Singing. Him and Lou K. Sound a lot alike at times they could sing for each other's bands . First herd about Breakdown in "88" and still even with lineup changes Keep The Edge Of Toughness and Reality Of True Life In Hardcore and Life itself.
I have accumulated a large collection of Hardcore albums over the course of my travels and Breakdown is one of the bands that I consistently replay. This is by far my favorite album in their discography. They were just so tight and this album still pounds! When the conversation of NYHC greats gets brought up Breakdown is not mentioned enough and it is a damn shame because they were always great!!!
breakdown...one of the very best hardcore bands around and a lot of people dont realize that bands like this unknowingly ushered in the so called "beatdown" era and sound,i was there and saw it morph into what it is today...true fuckin hardcore,handsdown...Fuckin BREAKDOWN! learn it people!
Demonspawn VI yea put me down with who your listening to these days, I hear ya on the biohazard thing, but before there demo with Howard Beach was around bands like breakdown & even leeway had that groove & swing in there music, I remember like in early 87, the crowd couldn't wait for the breakdown parts or the mid tempo groove parts just to two step, kick swing, lawnmower lol etc, I miss the wall of death days, 86- 91,best of hardcore times for me, music, people, vibe was incredible, first Superbowl of hardcore, I was there, I actually made the crowd shot for soia blood sweat lp
