At least not instantaneously. As such you can still expect bigger teams to be at the front and smaller teams to trail them. With the exception of an errant loophole.

@@FeelMyBirdie The regulations have never changed so much at once since the 1990s. The field will have a big shakeup and I don't think Merc will walk away with it. There are 4 Teams high up and maybe 1 team has a secret innovation that will give them a big performance advantage.
I like how they've made changes as a reaction and response to Grosjean's crash to prevent that from being so dangerous ever again. Sixty years ago, politics and spectacle might have slowed such a drastic safety concept change.

I'm surprised it's taken this long to start running E10 fuel, V8 Supercars here in Australia have been running e85 now for the last 12 years. Is there something i'm missing here?
@@Barcodez5555 Not involved with ethanol. Most of it, at least where I'm from, is produced using corn or other similar products. Indycar has been using E85 for over a decade now.

Already the innovation from the concept car released last year to the reveals over these past days have been incredible. Just imagine the innovation throughout the season is going to be awesome to watch. Also i think if this all works and we can get closer racing, my guess is that Alonso will be fighting more up the front this year, maybe even a race win or two! The thought of a Max Vs Fernando on track battle just makes me want to sleep until race 1. Cannot wait!
The rear wing looks a bit wide considering what I'm used to. On the other hand, the rear wings were ridiculously narrow in pre 2017 regulations. But the cars look great, maybe even better than last year!
Can you impinge for all these changes cars still can't get within 2 seconds of the car in front. Track limits won't be an issue as any damage to the floor will mean massive down force losses (first corner at the redbull ring comes to mind)
F1 cars using 10% biofuel thinking their saving the planet when the cars themselves only contribute an 0.7% of F1's carbon footprint. That's a 0.07% reduction 😁👏
