Bruh everytime they update the main menu I die inside. They could use those resource to update dine-out. They always put so much time on something most simmers see for a slit second.
I feel like several of these “bugs” aren’t bugs; they’re just oversights being added later. For example, the outgoing and socially awkward combo being disallowed.
@@jmpf9168 yeah i never had much bugs just some small ones from playing for a few hours straight (i would save and turn off the game for a few minutes.) I have a new computer now and can play the whole afternoon without any bugs 😅
I would still love a huge update to the vampire pack, there needs to be a fix to the world as there is nothing to do, no caves, no lore or storylines to follow, and with island living the worlds themselves need more interactivity not just the lots.
It would be nice if we could adjust the comfort value on beds. I think it is lame to choose between a bed that fits the home style and actually getting a good sleep.
It could be done via upgrading like..idk adding better springs for the mattress or something. So you can play with a lousy bed (like a poor sim that feels awful all the time because his furniture is lower quality) and you can have the style but at the same time comfortability without breaking immersion
Absolutely, upgrading a bed should increase its stats, not just give mood buffs. Make the beds like the robot vaccums, with the most expensive having all upgrades installed already and the cheapest having none, but with a handy Sim able to install them until they're equivalent. Make Sim skills worth a damn.
Wooow, they did a standard bug fix for their anniversary. What an amazing company EA is! Ah, and a new menu screen which in every game usually comes with a bunch of bugs. Wow. Thank you EA for being not an over prized, avaricious and asking too much for too little company.
Hope that it's functional. Sim want to eat a bowl of cereal ? Actually pour milk in the bowl. Have a glass of milk ? Pour the milk in the glass from a carton.
I would like to have had an infant interaction bug fix. But I am happy for the fixes they are making. I am really looking forward to playing with all the new stuff, I am absolutely loving the pleated skirt for CAS. Over all I was happy to see Mercie in the update video. Also all the other creators they had there.
Can't get over the fact that there's a milk carton with a missing person section on it- that was a thing in the 80s and 90s, not 2000s. And I think it was only in America, too. (I cannot stop overthinking this dumb milk carton!)
When I started a new game I was jumpscared by the new buildings, thinking that somehow someone else's save sneaked into my game or something like that. lol
The redone base game neighborhoods is actually big and I’m glad they did that. Aside from that, this is not a huge update and the bug fixes are relatively minor.
I actually really like the new main menu! I just don't like the blue background, I hope you can either mod it to be more cute/cozy or that it changes in the future but I love that we see the our last played household' full models in the center!
Not a huge fan of the new menu, but I'm looking thru the refreshed townie houses & they look pretty nice. Imo the exteriors look rly good & the landscaping is much improved, I'm not too crazy about the floor plan of the Calientes' or Goths' houses but that can be fixed lol 😅

Yeah I’ve just checked them out. And it looks like in Calientes house, Don’ll share the bedroom one of the women. I don’t remember the original house so can’t say it’s been like this before too, but as I checked and saw 3 bedrooms for 4 sims, I was like hmmm, there’s gotta be some tea! I looked their relationships and didn’t see any romantic bar movement. Also non of the beds are claimed by any of the sims despide the update which I found interneting.

But they're too modern for my taste lol. Love Johnny Zest's trailer, it looks tacky but in an endearing way lol, love the plastic flamingo 🦩
In the description of the Caliente household it says he's dating Katrina. Even if in the game itself they're barely acquaintances.... and no he does not have a better relationship with Nina and Dina

I remember nostalgically The Sims 2’s lore but not familiar with The Sims 4 as much. In Sims 2 he was in love with both of the Caliente sisters. And now it says with their mother? Weird! And also I remember he was engaged to Cassandra Goth. And then his other lover was the maid. That man was so busy with his love life. I suppose he simmered down a little bit. 😅

I can say I liked all of the updated versions of the houses. I used to hate Pancakes house. 😂🙈 Now with their sunroom, nursery and basement 👏🏻👌🏼 And so much brighter; I can only say well done Sims team, you did something good. 😹 And Jonny’s house was so cool, too. I liked the stage very much. I don’t remember the house’s or sims’ names (3 man and a woman) who live in it but I’m talking about the house with a small courtyard in the house; in that house I loved the batrooms which look copy paste of each other but again pretty awesome. And the Roommates house (2 woman, (one’s name is Summer Holiday (it’s easy to remember 😹)) , 1 man) used to so dark. Now it looks like so much lively.
Hope that they tone down the mood swings of teens. Those «Angry +50» and «Playful +50» are killers. LITERALLY !!! Worst thing is that they always popup just as they come back from school, leaving you no time to do anything to prevent a heart explosion or a death from laughter. Just reducing them from +50 down to +5 would be GREAT !
I'm tired of these stupid in-game events that you can't opt out of without them popping up every 5 seconds. Thank goodness inzoi and Paralives are coming out this year.

Ugh! I got a duplication bug going on right now and my sims are starving because of it!! The chili they made is duplicating when they go to grab a plate.. my kitchen is full of chili.. it's like each bowl is a party size serving.. 😥 I'm excited for the new content though..😬

I hate how horses cats and dogs are a part of your household yet you can’t play them. They should be in the same category as goats and chickens, and not count as household members.

They still screwed up the TAXES for properties.. let me ask any of the people working at EA if they want their property taxes to include their entire household income and savings as well.. what do you think EA WORKERS, want your property taxes to include your entire net worth? Or just the property itself, minus all your household goods and bank accounts? Fact, you should only be taxing the Property itself as UNFURNISHED.. what I put inside my home is MY PROPERTY, not to be taxed as a tax on REAL ESTATE.. my household items, which I can take with me and do not have to sell, should not be taxed as part of property taxes.. if you need help with this, how about when you go to pay your property taxes, you make sure you count your total amount of household goods and your total banking accounts including any stocks, bonds, funds of any kind in your property taxes and see if that is what you want to do in REAL LIFE.. and if not, then do NOT FORCE it in the sims either.. It should be just the lot minus any household furnishings.. like when you want to build a home from the gallery and it asks, do you want it furnished or no? If you were to say, no furnishings, what is laid down should be the total amount of property tax and NOTHING MORE!! Because all the household goods I may choose to furnish is not part of the REAL ESTATE which is all that should be being taxed.. so fix it.. I asked you to fix this years ago..
🙋"Wish they'd fixed?"; #1 city living fashion district some apartments missing ceilings reported since several months & we can't edit hall room with elevator/mailbox, to fix those ceilings. #2 reported since 2020, 3 lots on crumbling isle in windenburg with huge fragment blue shard in sky, seen when camera is low to ground & we scroll around, shard moves to change shape too & takes up almost half the sky, cutting into clouds. I posted video on twitter x showing this, & pics there of 1313 21 chic street common room hall, with sky showing, no ceiling. One thing I'm impressed about though, is that they're fixing males with female frames whose facial hair would disappear after placing sim in live mode- it ruined the aunty character I made based on inclusion of women that have facial hair issues, real life stuff.
I'm sorry but I'm probably the only one who lovesss this new main menu... I mean I don't have to see the ugly pack promotions I paid too much money for, my beautiful household that I've spent hours on are on full display and I can see everyone, plus the ui just looks classy and more put together... not an ugly bright white.
Honestly, I'm a little peeved about the house update thing: taking the iconic homes of iconic Sims 4 families and making them . . . not iconic? Of course, the base game houses were weird; EA has never been known for understanding how to use their own build mode well and their houses have ALWAYS been kinda wonky. In fact, that's one of the few areas lots of simmers can bond over, lol. Anyway, guess I'll have to go into an old save and put all of the ORIGINAL houses in my gallery so I can return the families to their proper places. One more annoying thing I'll have to do every time I start a new save. I also have to hope that the outgoing/socially awkward combo doesn't affect old saves, since I made a sim of one of my friends who is extremely outgoing and friendly, but also can't pick up on social cues at all, and this combo was the closest I could get to her actual personality. Beyond that, nothing in this update sparks joy for me, but I'm glad that people who are having some of those issues will have them fixed.
@ Pixelade actually called them “iconic” first (at least the houses themselves), and if you’ve been playing with those families in those houses for 10 years you might consider them iconic for Sims 4. At any rate, why change something that is not causing problems and has been there from the beginning? Seems like they just wanted to make it look like they were doing something rather than actually fixing the underlying issues which make the game less stable.
If they didn't make the phones or alarm clock functional than I don't want it, too many deco items that should have been functional in the first place

You need the Functional Clutter mod. Have it, and Sims with hygiene in the yellow will autonomously use a perfume tray to refresh and get a nice buff.

I literally started renovating both the Goth and Landgraab homes super recently so I’m a little salty that this is the time they finally do it lol
Another pair of traits that need to be mutually exclusive : Slob and neat. I once had a Sim get both in a random selection of traits.

We don't have try for baby in shower in base game it's only with the college pack
Still having milestone notifications stick around and keep popping up if I don't pass over and clear them all before aging up a sim.

@ Pixelade actually called them “iconic” first (at least the houses themselves), and if you’ve been playing with those families in those houses for 10 years you might consider them iconic for Sims 4. At any rate, why change something that is not causing problems and has been there from the beginning? Seems like they just wanted to make it look like they were doing something rather than actually fixing the underlying issues which make the game less stable.
