- In this video we unbox the an older refurbished Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF 4th Gen that packs some decent punch under the hood. It has upgraded 32 GB ram, 1TB SSD, and Intel Core i7-4770 topped off with Win 10 Pro making a pretty potent web surfer/office machine. It may not have gaming rated specs but it is certainly enough for daily use and you can't beat the $200 price tag.

not windows 11 capable
Yeah but there is a workaround. I found this other video that shows how to do it and I might make one soon as well. The guy in this video is doing it on an optiplex 9020 too so I know it would work.

I recently made the upgrade to win 11 with this pc so I’m just letting you know that it is in fact possible despite the “un-supported hardware.” However it glitched during the update and I almost lost all my data and needed up having to do a clean OS install to get it to work so you’ll definitely want to back up ur data first. Hence why I didn’t make a video abt it as I didn’t want to accidentally mislead people and cause them to kill their computer.
NOT NEWER I7 LOL ITS 4TH GEN....LOL NEW INDEED,,,ROLMFAO
I have this PC, the temps are really high..this is normal?
Idk I never check the temps and it never gives me any error messages 🤷♂️
What graphics card would fit
I have no idea, I did a little bit of research a while ago and it’s really hard to find small form factor graphics cards. Most of them are made for the big tower PCs.
@@mjrprojects9476 WILL RISER CABLE WORK JUST TO WORK I DONT CARE ABOUT EASTHETICS
You'll fit a low profile GeForce GT 1030 4G card no probs. If you look around you'll find videos of people putting a GeForce GTX 1650 car in as well, but the GT 1030 works really nice for my 9020SFF.
@@Scorpionwins23 cool, I might actually look into that because the integrated graphics on that 4th gen i7 are pretty worthless for anything other than office duties and web searching. It was bottle necking when I tried to run Autodesk Revit because the graphics couldn’t keep up with the cpu. 😒
NEWER GENERATION,,,HAHAHAHAHA,,SPEAKING OF THAT,,, YOUR PROBABLY JUST GETTING INTO STARTREK TNG ?? OH THATS MEANS,,,the next GENERATION,,,,HAHAHAH
Do you Fortnite fps?
I don’t play any games, we use this machine strictly for office duties and it is excellent at that. The cpu would problably handle Fortnite just fine but you’d prolly want to add a component gpu to get better fps just because the integrated gpu is pretty out of date.
There are small form factor GPUs that could probably work. Examples being a GeForce RTX 3050 LP or a Radeon RX6400. Either of those would work and run Fortnite well. If you wanna go smaller, maybe a GTX 1050 or 1650
@@ghostwolf84 seems a little bit funny to pay as much for a gpu as for the whole desktop but still prolly a pretty good deal! 🤣👍
IF YOU THINK ITS NEWER CPU I HAVE SOME SAND TO SELL YOU,,,,HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
My mistake, get over it.
The Intel Core i7-4770 was a desktop processor with 4 cores, launched in June 2013,,NEWER ???? HAHAHAHHA WHAT DO YOU CALLED OLD? HAHAHAHAH
I don’t recall saying newer, my bad I guess. I was aware it was somewhere around a decade old though. But it’s still plenty powerful for office duties and I managed to override the “unsupported hardware” error and upgrade it to win 11 so it’s fairly future proof. Still runs better than a brand new pentium.
If you're buying refurbished then yes, a 4th Gen is the "newest" you'll get for a refurbished model under or just over $200. Any newer gens they would be looking at closer to $900(used) or over $1000(new). This video is reviewing a refurbished model so it makes sense.
Damnnnn you're a prick
