I don't understand why the game doesn't have a costume with a red cross design on a black background. That implies that Shay is the ancestor of blackcross, which is very important. It means more than simply playing canon Shay The blackcross element was erased from Otso Berg in Odyssey, and he appeared simply as a villain in abstergo armor; UBI may intend to remove the blackcross lore from the game.
Only outfits I absolutely love are the normal Templar outfit, the Versailles outfit, the officer outfit, the sharpshooter outfit, the whaler outfit, the templar enforcer outfit and the assassin killer outfit
Man, the enforcer , 11th century, Assassin Hunter, Hunters outfit, Masters, Norther winter outfit. The outfits in the game delivered so damn good, along with the weapons and options to equip badass combos. Throw in the ship, and the ability to change and equip in the captains chambers. Saw me changing and tailoring the visuals to each scene or mission if it wasn’t a pain in the ass to do so. After completion, You were givin this beautiful treasure to role play and explore. Only downfall was it really feels like III in the sense it’s very good at feeling big and busy at times and then isolating and shrinking down. To give an example. Is you and your crew, but once you step off the ship it’s only you, (obviously) . But exploring and role playing could feel amazing with a sense of unity or bigger presence with other templars. Or just you alone and out of place at times. Still enjoyed it, Rogue , Black flags, III , were all very satisfying and present to experience back then from my experience. Black flags really captures that unity and bigger presence that you get from the other two by letting you feel apart of something other than the single ship you control.
The armor looks good and epic, but it definitly seems out of place cause the game is set in 18th centuary. Its kinda silly seeing tamplier knight from 11th centuary running around new world
I personally like the outfits because I like feeling immersed in my games. So depending on the location I'm in I'll pick that outfit accordingly. Obviously the Assassin Killer the most mechanically good because the gas mask is always equipped so smoke bombs don't do anything to you.
how do you get legacy outfits? I own AC4 in steam but dont have Edwards outfit in Rogue. I do have legacy oufits in black flag tho, even tho I dont own previous games

AC1s Templar meeting trailer, The Borgia, Germain.... not all Assassin's were hoods, there's a ranking system at hand within the creed... Templars use it to either mock out of spite but also find it beneficial to some degree since there are Templars who hunted Assassin's throughout history... some were even Templar spies who trained under the Assassin's then brought the knowledge of the assassin's and trained other Templars... it would've been symbolically perfect to keep the fudging hood for Shays templar outfit considering that he's an a proper Assassin turned Templar kind of like Duncan Walpole but difference is that Shay was successful... by your logic, Shay should remove his hidden blades since its just as integral as the hood for the assassin's

I know the Assassin Killer outfit was my primary outfit for a first play-through.
The Assassin killer outfit is always a go to me I think the visuals are pretty good compared to others and the added permanent gas mask aswell
