I’d recommend changing out that exhaust clamp on the s-pipe. The original cheap clamp allowed my pipe to rotate and caused a bunch of havoc. Basically it blocked off the exhaust and chocked the engine. The black soot it was blowing blocked up the original air filter with less than 20 hrs on the clock.
Thank you for a GREAT set of Videos!!! I JUST purchased this machine and after watching many of the videos available, I have some questions about the idlers on the tracks. Is there a way to lubricate those? I see several folks have had issues (not necessarily on the CRT23, but other mini skids). What kind of idler maintenance do you recommend? I used to work with an "oiler" for a construction crew and on the Caterpillars, we had to grease the idlers on the tracks every day...wondering if there are zerks on them or if they can be added. Keep it up with the videos, please. They're very helpful for us newbies.
The 2 big idlers are enclosed for lubrication. I'm sure at some point.... maybe 250 hrs or 500 hrs should be addressed. I know some members have looked into them. I'll do a video to reask there discovery. To answer your question, only maintenance is getting the tension bolt tight. Grease zerks weekly to daily pending how much your using it. Clean your tracks! keep debris away from them! Check tightness of bolts, hoses etc. Some stuff you will just randomly come upon. Seems like a lot now, but if you do the major stuff. Grind Idlers, Change oil, change hydraulic fluid, Tighten tension bolt, not run machine past 70 degrees for long periods. It's really really good in 30 minute bursts, rest for 15 minutes. Any other questions feel free to ask. Glad we can help!!!!
Just curious about the power capabilities of the machine? I've been looking at these units for some time, but I was leaning towards a diesel powered unit because of the torque. Also, I'm leery of those Chinese built motors. Thanks for the synopsis with your experience. It was insightful. Cheers!
@CJMarco-nq1yf I'd say the diesel engine would have to much power for the lifting arms etc. That would be my fear there. The motor that's on it is more than powerful imo. Think it's as much about proper maintenance ive not really heard from anyone on the channel so for with engine issues if you follow what ive done etc. The hydraulic power is more powerful than the weight of the machine. Hope that is the kinda feedback you were seeking.
@@TheJBros520 perfect! That's exactly the response I was looking for because being in the market to purchase one, I want to ensure that I'm not getting something that's going to suck-hole when I need it to move material. Cheers!
I ran it too hot and melted the the seals. One seal was leaking into the other pump and so I was losing power to right side track drive. So at first I thought it was a bad hydralic drive but when I switched hose of the right drive to the axillary hose it ran fine. Then the seal finally gave way and started spraying out fluid.
Obviously very sorry to hear! Thank you for the info! I will probably do a short video to explain the importunacy of keeping the machine cool and what to look for. I will let the community know you have an extra pump!!! Thanks @fewxjacob

He had ran it out of gas. upon that he flooded it. Drained fuel lines, changed fluids and put new plugs in it. Started right up. I'd give that a try, if that sounds like your situation far as it not firing.
7.2k for machine in total. Throttle cable $65 new tracks at the time were $130 each think they are $160 each now. but i think $320 for both shipped to me. 1k bucket. Fluids lets say $100. So ($8,585.00). All Labor like grinding, welding and scrap metal stuff we had. Don't think I am missing anything. Hope that helps. Pending on attachments, we are definitely looking to add more.

What’s the speed on this thing? Wanting one to use for side walk snow removal with a plow and a broom in MN.
3 mph.... I'd say decent speed for that! I know I'm in MN, Big parking lots would feel slow but driveways and sidewalks would be slick.

Where is the oil plug located? Love the videos
@pcorkins Bottom right on the outside of machine. If your facing engine. There is a hex nut that drains it.
