    I've had my CRT23 for about a week now ... one of the first things I noticed was that the thing gets very hot, very quickly. Something I am doing if the rain ever stops (I live in TN and still getting hurricane remnants rain) is to wrap the exhaust in header wrap ... going to try and get as much of the heat as possible to exit stage left rather than bake the hydraulic system.

      @dino34mc I think i heard that is what the newer ones are like. I do not know the reasoning there.... also the tensioning bolt is longer. I wish I knew the pros and cons. Do you have much slippage with no spring? To me it adds flex for safety far as damage but idk.

    And for those of you who are considering buying your equipment from the auction, just know that with mini skid steers, there’s two styles of attachment plates. You have the Toro style and the bobcat style. Those wolverine attachments use Toro’s style. Unfortunately, the Chinese mini skid steers don’t really specify what style attachment plates they are using. From my understanding, most of them are usin the bobcat style so all those wolverine attachments don’t really work on the Chinese machines, or if they do, then you got luck and got a Toro dingo style attachment on your mini skid. Thats good because the majority of attachments use the Toro Dingo style.

    I like your CRT23 videos. I got one last week and put a grapple on it. It's been really nice. I'm seeing the same track wear that you have after only a few hours. I need to pop the tracks and smooth the wheels over I guess. You mentioned your battery was weak. Did you add any additional fans or anything that is drawing power? I'm curious if the charging system can handle higher amp loads with these addons. My oil temp gets up to 75 pretty quick, so I take frequent breaks when its hits that high.

    • @TheJBros520
      @TheJBros520 16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      No additional fans. I stop and start a lot, I'm probably getting excited by getting another battery. I started and stopped it 5 times yesterday np. I guess I don't want something as simple as a battery slowing me down. Probably not needed. I use the machine daily.

    Another idea for a video would be going over all the hydraulic hoses to check for wear and rub spots. Not sure if you’ve looked it over on your machine, but I’m in the process of eliminating quite a bit of unnecessary rubbing spots where hoses rub on the frame or against other hoses. Combination of good heavy duty zip ties and pieces of automotive heater hose here and there and I’ll be able to eliminate pretty much all hose rub and wear. These machines weren’t thought out perfectly for the hose routing and most of them can be solved by loosening both ends of the fittings and moving the hose where it should be and retightening. Just an idea I know would be helpful to others!

    • @KipIddy
      @KipIddy 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well I ended up draining the tank as long as I could via the drain plug underneath. I added 7.5 gallons back in and it seemed a tad high just by looking at it so I drained half a gallon out to bring it to an even 7 gallons. I might pop the starter back on as it doesn't seem messed up.... but I still will probably get a new one to have on hand. So if anyone else has trouble, I'll find where to get the starter. Least we will all have an idea, to troubleshoot.

    I would suggest making sure the battery voltage isn't low before buying a new starter ... if the throw-out-bushing isn't spinning fast enough it won't come all the way out and fully engage ... kinda sounds like that may be what is happening ...

      @chipandputt Thanks for that info. As the curious person I am. I pulled the starter. The thing obviously looks brand new. I pulled it apart as I just replaced the starter on my 4 wheeler. I going to bring it in to at least know what setup we need. I have it on trickle charge now. Getting starter out was not bad. I'll drop a video tomorrow morning.

    I've got 2 hours on mine so far. It goes backward flawlessly, but when trying to slowly creep forward, it drags heavily on the engine and is very jumpy. Once it is going full speed forward, it does not drag on the engine at all. The hydraulic fluid looks clean, but seems very thin. Assuming that the desired reading on the dipstick should be on the higher of the 2 bumps after inserting the dip stick all the way in, it appears that mine is over full. Could overly thin oil or overly full oil cause that excessive drag on the engine when creeping slowly forward?

    • @TheJBros520
      @TheJBros520 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @toddbrown4542 Did you change both hydraulic and engine oil? Original hydraulic oil was super thin. Not that it should have much to do with engine but I without a doubt would change the engine oil if you haven't. That slow drag creeping forward is confusing. Does it almost feel like a flooding of the engine?

    • @toddbrown4542
      @toddbrown4542 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@TheJBros520 Its not flooding, but acting like it is under excessive load. It does the same thing, although barely noticeable, when you lower and dump, but not when you raise or curl. I will be changing both fluids in the weeks ahead and let you know if it changes anything. I'm wondering if there could be a restriction in the hydraulic fluid somewhere, but that does seem to explain why the overloading/draging'jerking only happens when you are trying to creep slowly forward but goes away as soon as you are moving forward at full speed

      @tigertoilet2 That's normal. This turf came off a college football field. When removing they are cut in 9' x 50' rolls. Reason these are so heavy is it has all the rubber in fill still in it.

      Seems of late in my area after fees one can be had for around 4k, atm. I'm sure it could pick up 1.2k with counter weights, that would be max guess. rated for about 900 lbs. I'm going to try set up some sort of weight lifting test in near future.
