How expensive has this project been? I just got a z31, but inevitably once the engine goes i plan on putting an LS in it. Hopefully not anytime soon but still.
Not really, bmw 6 cylinder are light but 2jz and rb series are between 490-550lbs with accessories excluding the gearbox, plus with an LS or even better weight distribution wise the nissan VQ series can be properly pushed back a bit to have better weight distribution but the z31 200zr came with An RB series turbo engine and they do sound nice, but price to hp ratio LS is king plus they can get 30+ mpg lugging along under 1700 rpm at 75 mph on the highway provided the tuner isnt an imbecile...personally I think these z31s are better suited to an NA vq37
@@monikhushalpuriever drive a z with ls, car loses balance and handles like a turd. Buddy did one then pulled it, ruined car balance. Able to use his stock motor built to turbo it, much better car then. Ls is not the go to engine for every car.
All depends what you use if for, my car is 150ish heavier than stock I don’t take turns so I don’t rly feel it. For me is just a fun build fun car. But yeah I agree also all based on your opinion some like it some don’t

Yes you have to weld the front cups and nctje rear if you have stock suspension you need the adaptors
