Cute horses ... I'm not biased or anything 😂 It was so amazing to have you both back for the summer and to be your home point. Can't wait to hear of all of your new adventures and video chat mimosas ❤🍾🥂
Byyyeee! See you in the spring! We think that we have a pretty fun winter in store! Thanks so much for all the well wishes - we will definitely have fun and stay safe!! ❤️
Couldn’t agree more with everything you mentioned! I know we have chatted about airbnbs before and the lack of sharp knives, cooking implements etc. We were just in Split Croatia for 2 weeks and found what we consider to be the perfect accommodation. Comfortable king bed, good pillows, Bosch appliances, Electrolux washer and dryer, fabulous knives and the list goes on. Without a doubt the best Airbnb! I’d rather go without eating out and little entertainment and spend more on accommodations!
Hey Lori! Yes, we have chatted and wow, we may have to ask you about your Airbnb in Split. We so want to go back to Croatia and Split is such a great city in itself, but also such a great base to explore other islands etc. Agreed that the accommodations are worth the extra money. No amount of dinners out and wine can make up for a miserable place to live LOL. Thanks for watching and following along (and just wait until you see our place in Montenegro - only our second night here, but wow, we nailed it with this one! LOL). Cheers!
We also do six months abroad and six months in our campervan in Ontario :) We are spending Christmas here this year before heading back to Mexico. Cheers!
How cool! Will you be in the van until you leave at Christmas? We have considered doing that once we get our heater fixed lol. It was getting chilly in mid October this year! Cheers!
@@mitchandjan We winterize and put the van in storage December 1 and we housesit beginning in October. Last year we left in October and spent the fall in Europe only returning for a week at New Years. You guys are awesome:)
Looking at images of rentals throughout videos featured all over youtube I notice the lack of shelves in the bathroom. the vanity is a big one that I noticed. Just a sink. No shelf. Nowhere to put your brush.. or your toothbrush and stuff.. that drives me nuts. I stayed in Hotels a lot in 2022 traveling and I actually switched hotels once because they had nowhere to hang your clothes, no drawers and no coffee pot. I told them that I was staying a week and I was not going to trek down to the lobby everytime I wanted some hot water for my tea!
Isn't it crazy!! We really appreciate Airbnbs that have not skimped out on shelving, HOOKS FOR TOWELS!! We literally travel with Command hooks now and PLUGS for drains is another one that is hit or miss! Little things that can literally drive you crazy after a month! LOL. It is not being difficult, it is small, simple things that short term rentals/hotels should think about. Thank you for "getting it". LOL!! Cheers!
Great advice. Especially routine. Is Canada a every summer destination? And for Jan's surprise Christmas destination, I'm gonna go ahead and guess Germany. Lol. Have a great trip.
Thank you so much for the feedback. Routine is definitely a struggle and is one of our top priorities this time around! As far as Canada goes...yes, we plan to split our time in Canada and abroad, since Canada is home. Our family is there and for now, spending spring/summer/early fall at home is the plan. It may shift in the future, but will still be about half and half. Now, your guess on Christmas is pretty damn close!!! Excellent guess!! But as they say "close, but no cigar!" LOL. Thanks so much for following along! Keep guessing 😂
That is awesome John! We almost went to Pattaya last year instead of Koh Samui. Have you been before? We have heard mixed reviews and decided we wanted island vibe instead of big city, but some of the accommodations looked very amazing for the price, so we would love to hear how you find it. Similar vibe to Da Nang maybe??? Hope Spain is amazing and wishing you well!!
We are somewhat seasoned, but still have LOTS to learn!! We are using travel and credit card points, but being Canadian, we are much more limited than our US friends (are you Canadian??). We actually have an upcoming video on travel points and memberships!!
Hi Mitch and Jan, Just watched this week's video and am looking forward to your videos coming from Montenegro, Albania and unmentioned counties. Question for you, what airlines do you tend to use while travelling through Europe? Best wishes and happy travels!
Thank you so much! We so look forward to making these videos! So, we used Ryanair last year and this year we have flown also with easyJet. Both are great! Ryanair gets a bad wrap for being cheap and stingy with baggage, but honestly we had a great flight last year with no issues. We are generally flying 3.5 hours or less, so they are great. We were actually surprised how much room there was considering how some international flights are now getting retro fitted and the seats are feeling like they have less space than ever!! (*cough Air *cough *Transat *cough). Our advice is go for it, pack light and within the guidelines of baggage diameters (we have yet to have our bags weighed....because we would be screwed!! LOL). The price point to value is amazing. Great experience with both airlines! Thanks for leaving a comment and question and hope you will be following along on our journeys! Cheers!!

We will add it to the list of future video ideas! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Cheers!
