You’ve surely wet my appetite to vis Malapascua Island with your video. Thanks. I’m in the Philippines now so as soon as the borders reopen I’ll be there.
Thank you so much for take A video of Malapascua Island.. 😊.. I love it.. I've been there before.. OMG.. I enjoy a lot..😊😊😊.. I miss so much this Island.. 😊😊..
Hi, thanks for this wonderful video now i know where to go in cebu, problem is I'm flying in july so i'm a little hesitant to really go. But last yr i went to palawan in july and it rain just a bit and water is still pretty clear. Hope it does not rain much
Thanks! Ive been there many times, but the best time (for me anyhow) is during the dry season, I like it dry and hot. Most of the video I took is around March/April. Hope you get to enjoy it there! Malapascua is just awesome! Let me know how it goes. Cheers
Thanks! I did an update after Typhoon Yolanda as well you can see it here blog.beyondcebu.com/malapascua-island-philippines-update-images-after-typhoon-yolanda/
Rob Brand hi i love the Bounty restaruant ..can i ask Rob . there is a hotel in Malapascua .did you stay thier overnight in the island or only restaurant.
Thanks for the videos Sir Rob, I love it!! Precise and neat. So proud to be a Filipina. I want to go back there and explore the other islands I never been to :-).your work is great well done
It seems like a lot has changed since 2013. I was there late November 2017 and this island looks like a junkyard... There is not much space left for walking at Bounty Beach as the whole beach is covered by dozens of boats parked up randomly EVERYWHERE! That was my first and the last visit there.
Yup, I've already bookmarked the beyondcebu site. I will be back in the Phils again next spring as usual and I'll do my research on your site before I head over. Cheers!
i miss this beautiful island so bad. This is the best island ive been to. The sea itself is a natural aquarium. All green by sea grass. I even saw more marine life things than divers.
Great to hear that. I actually did an update of the island after Typhoon Yolanda blog.beyondcebu.com/malapascua-island-philippines-update-images-after-typhoon-yolanda/
Rob Brand Hi Rob, thank you for the update. I was in Malapasucua just 2 weeks ago. Heard of severe damage due to typhoon from locals and divers. It washed all the coral reefs away. But my snorkeling all around the island was still surprising. I saw octopus, moray eels, sea snake, seahorses, catfishes, etc...more than divers did...
Rob Brand its crazy i did a snorkeling tour starting from Cove dive resort beach to the light house rocks. I searched every caves of rocks and here came a big banded snake which was just 1m away from me. It was wonderful moment. I was not fear of the snake at all even i knew it could be dangerous you would die of its just one bite. ha!
Dude, this is an amazing video. I loved Malapascua, but the islands you showed...I definitely will check those out next time I'm up there! Thanks for the great intel!
You need a day each to do these islands (Lamanok and Carnaza can be done it one day) I put the prices on the link above but you will be paying around 3000PHP per trip
Belle Santos I was there last week it was off season and I got a bungalow with fan for two , cost 1000 php night (20 euro), a diner a ocean vida on the beach delicious food + dessert + drink for two people 17 euro
is there any freshwater and drinking water station in kalanggaman island? also a toilet?grilling/cooking station too? because im planning for a beach camping there by next year and bring my nephews. pls answer me. thanks

Great video! Thanks for sharing this Rob. I'm planning another trip with my family and friends and I have El Nido and Bantayan Island listed. Thanks for putting Malapascua as a must see paradise. What month did you go? It looked like you got perfect weather.
It's around 1 and half hours. I did an updated video a few months ago here blog.beyondcebu.com/malapascua-island-philippines-update-images-after-typhoon-yolanda/
Always if you can arrive there. Today, in Maya port, boat drivers didn't want to bring me. They need to have 15 people "they say" unless you pay for private trip. Niiiiiiice people
Depends on what you like. If you love diving then definitely Malapascua. I like the beaches better on Bantayan, If you search 10 Tourist attractions in Cebu in TH-cam under my " Finding Paradise" channel you'll see what I like about both places. Maybe it will give you a better idea
It's around 1 to 11/2 hours depending on the sea conditions. I will have to look at my notes but i think it was around 2000 PHP (the prices are negotiable)
Malapascua is at the northern part of Cebu and Kalanggaman is not a part of Malapascua. Kalanggaman is an island located in the vicinity of Palompon, Leyte Province. Higatangan is also a part of Naval, Biliran not in Cebu.
