What does everybody think about the stock pitch-correction that comes with logic? I was initially pretty impressed and the only one i’d used before that was Melodyne (my personal favorite - auto tune is mad-complicated to me)

If you want a smooth autotune effect sure, it has a different sound, but Antares is better in general for people that have their sound based around autotune like Travis Scott

NECTAR IS GREAT. You set the speed to 200ms which is slow and you won't hear the effect. If you want to hear auto tune sound, you need to set it FAST. Just like 0.1ms on Waves tune. I don't know if you legitimately have no idea about speed and auto tune or you didn't read and mistook the knob but you should tell everyone about it. It's unfair.

In Nectar 3 the retune speed is at 200ms. That means after 200ms the autotune will be applied.So in order to use the autotune as fast as possible like the other plugins you used (antares autotune etc.) you need to put speed all the way down to 0ms. Hope that will help everyone who saw the Nectar 3 pitch correction and said this is trash.

Yeah, I felt like everything to an extent was done a bit dirty except Antares.
The Waves one runs at zero latency, so you can record/perform with it directly which makes it very useful.
so does auto tune access and all the other versions of auto tune, real time pitch correction isn't special to waves tune

The nextar Tune speed was set wrong! Lower number means it Will correct your pitch.

Is the image line plugin "new tone" any good? That's what I use and I was wondering if I should use a different one.
The MAuto Pitch sounded better to me because it was smooth and the pitch corrector wasnt jumping all around. But on the other hand (Pitcher) does the same thing if you slow the speed down to medium. So i gotta say its a tie between Mauto And Pitcher. Im not sure if you can put the key of your song in on mauto tho.

It’s funny that the free Melda Mautopitch sounds as good or better than the paid ones.
Mauto Pitch is the best for lowering CPU and more auto tuned sound.

Antares sounded way more robotic than the MAutoPitch by Melda Prod. in my opinion. Also, these effects are not made to just throw on there and sound good. Make sure you have your settings right.

You also have to remember that not correcting the formant of the vocal will make the pitch shifting sound harsher. Real tune has the formant corrected by default, but other plugins like Pitcher do not.

I've been using MAutoPitch for years and I can't get away from it lol. I love it fr. So many options for vocal effects, formant shifters...changing the processing signals, etc.
For a free plugin..and as someone that can actually sing for real, it is perfect for me.
Btw... the detune feature is great for if you're using autotune over a beat that may be slightly off due to sampling. Everything isn't always perfectly in tune, so it's great for those with a high level pitch ear to modify as needed.

This is an unfair comparison as each plugin will have a different base speed, depth, etc. You should have compared each one after adjusting the settings to fit the song. May have found out that there isn't a huge difference between them though.

I'm just gonna be the one to say it if no one else has. The first and third demonstration you gave us was really bad. Like really really bad. It was hard for me to listen to it.... But the rest weren't bad
Waves Tune for me was a SOLID/CHEAP option as my first autotune (PROTOOLS). It did the job but I felt it would lower the quality of my recording by just a little bit. Once I moved to Melodyne and Antares there was no going back. Plus you can always buy the base plugin and upgrade it to their full versions over the years where most of the other plugins are pay and done. You are stuck with them and theyll never get better.
So, that's why new songs are most of it autotune, yup I'll stay with the 70s Funk music.

Thanks for the video. By the way your song is great and the vocal sounds super too. After watching it I purchased the waves autotune for my logic ($69). I was very disappointed! I have Graillon, which is free and it is far more superior and much more intuitive. It was so good that I had felt guilty not to pay for it so I also have the full version (for a mere $25). I can definitely recommend Graillon.
The autotune needs to set to his voice not to the music, its not like he know how to sing on key. but the AT is pushing him off key.

Another mistake you don't know is that if you put autotune on #a it might sound well but if you put it on real time on the same key it might sound off have tired this before
