Maltese is a weird language in general, mainly because it's basically Arabic in an Latin script. Half of the vocabulary is from Italian/Sicilian with another 6%-20% in English.

That extra 2% HP per shipment is honestly insane. Kinda makes Malta the best late game civ in a sense... and they can rush too, lol

Add to that the best anti-infantry grenadier, Crossbows that is bulkier than the average guard skirm and the tongue cavalry cards (1500 wood for 9 Cuirs or 13 Opri is insane in hindsight given Maltese wood economy and the infinity wood card in age 4).

every unit costs 2 pop though, so while they have a good powerspike in early industrial they fall off if the game goes longer

We'll that is mostly due to using sentinels exclusively as heavy infantry, Hospitaller as a splash anti-cav and Firethrowers anti-infantry is worth the 2 pop given how fast both are in Killing their intended targets, specially Firethrowers with how broken the the time to kill and splash of rocket + incendiary aoe is, Hospitaller are just inferior dops but the deflect makes up for all that downsides.
Sentinels should always be used to constantly expand forward bases specially with the Maltese wood economy and the train speed so broken in age 5.

Would be great if in the game at about 30min the sun would go down and you have to play at night and thunderstorms could come an lightning strikes some trees and so on. Also tornadoes on the see wich can sink ships.

Im not sure if you’re familiar with roller coaster tycoon. Essentially the creator of the game hated what the franchise turned into. He ended up turning the rct2 code into an open source variant where a community of developers have created openrct2 and keep it going and improving all from donationware.
I think aoe3 would prosper from a similar situation from rct2. The current devs aren’t doing anything good for the game anymore
