According to the late Yasser Arafat, when he appeared on the Merv Griffin show with Lee Liberace and Loni Anderson, he stated that WKRP in Cincinnati was the number one TV show in all of Palestine. He also compared suit jacket linings with Merv but wasn't able to see Liberace's.
@4:19 - when the episode Real Families aired, WKRP was not up against Little House. By that point, WKRP had moved to Saturdays while Little House was on Mondays.

WKRP’s chief competition during most of their four-year run.” Most doesn’t mean all.
