As interesting the movie seems, it doesn't make much sense to me that having hyperdrives and apparently advanced technology, they couldn't settle in other planets, moons, space stations or even underground in earth.
Maybe hyperdrive was only feasibly possible in small vessels like the ambassador's, or maybe (despite their advanced technology) their ability to mass produce large enough hyperdrive vessels just wasn't possible. Damn, can you imagine coming back to earth.. finding interstellar brothers to assist in your mission in reporting back and maybe even helping, only to realise that you were too late
Doesn't seem very realistic. They have the technology to hyperdrive to planets that might have living things on it. It's not impossible for them to ferry a bunch of people to these planets. The first ship exploded after it's 4th jump, so it is safe enough for a 1-way trip to a new planet.
@@born_to_be_bored2617 But we already know which planets are habitable for humans even with our current technology so they could just jump to those planets
That's nothing special. Earth is significantly cooler than the vacuum of space, too, at least in certain places -- that is, to the human body. In a vacuum, although there's no heat being transferred to you, there's also no air around you to absorb heat from you. Naked except for a helmet with oxygen supply, you'd freeze to death quicker in a snowstorm on Earth than you would in the vacuum of space.
Me at 00:40ish - The twist at the end will be that the "aliens" turn out to be humans. Me at 2:00ish - Ok, maybe not. Oh wait, there's still one helmet to go. Me at 10:00 - Ha. Nailed it. Well, that was kind of a bummer. 😢
Near the beginning the aliens were asked to select a picture just like the "test" to make sure you're not a robot. What if we're aliens but didn't realise.
Him being the last of his kind is scary, he'll be the last of his kind till he dies, if there isn't a way to keep his kind alive witch I doubt, those alien must feel bad to see him alone.
There must be cloning technology. Since men have x and y chromosomes, in this alternate reality, the aliens can take his dna and make female and male clones. If Rene was a woman humanity would have to become all female or two gendered hybrids of blue people and humans. Since he is male however the aliens can manipulate his X chromosomes to make clones with two XX chromosomes and then use his XY chromosomes to create male clones. It should be feasible.
Nothing will ever hit harder than this. Imagine going to ask for help not just for someone basically for every living being. After you come back with help and everything's gone.
Funny how with all of that hyperspace technology, space ships. They could have just moved to another planet to repopulate. Chances are the same things will happen again but we might finally adapt and learn our lessons.
If he had traveled that far into space then that means he would have had to travel far into the future and would not be able to make contact or correlate with the control room for they would all be dead by the time the signal was reached.
....to account for the plot holes regarding technology in the narrated story, my head canon idea- the ships take off into charted trajectories that the people involved in it knows pretty well where each one has headed. Each trajectories needed to have a advanced communication connectivity so out in space are stationed very powerful transmitters/receivers at different quadrants of the solar system outer reaches. The communication involve using method that slingshot the signals at warp speeds that quickly follows up with the ships out there. Though its mentioned in movie it takes days while making constant update on the messages sent & received. Of course to amp up the effect almost more than one transmitters must be out there circling the entire solar system but real time communication is a debated topic of sci fi trope.
"The building seems to be a bunker that was constructed to hold life after the conditions on the surface got too harsh for the humans to survive." The narrator interpreted for the audience while the visuals on screen could be free-associated to mean anything.

However, we still have wars in some places due to politics, ideologies. Ffs racism is still a reality though 🤦♂️ Look at the farming technologies that makes fields 3X more productive. Famine still exist! There’re so many billioners, millioners super rich people that never been this many in human history. Instead of providing financial aids for the poor, helping people dealing with health issues that cost too much; they get private jets, mansions, wasting money on drugs, whores, partying🤦♂️ While some part of the world still cannot meet basic human needs, some living in abundance, wasting too much resources carelessly. We’re not that developed intelligently, still 🤪
Didn't quite get that too. Maybe the humans in that film have Starfleet level faster-than-light drives and communication technology, while the aliens are still bound by real physics and can therefore only travel below lightspeed. But if we are on spaceships, we aren't extinct. Endangered, yes. Extinct, no.
Damn, can you imagine coming back to earth.. finding interstellar brothers to assist in your mission in reporting back and maybe even helping, only to realise that you were too late
I feel sadness
ya I'd ask them to drop me off on Risa for a few years to recover.
That’s why I love this channel. I don’t have to watch all the movies. Just recaps is surprisingly satisfying 👍
Me 👍👍 Too 👍
The ending was so shocking and it was kinda getting me excited when it said "The Last Alien"
is it just me or is his voice really calming
Doesn't seem very realistic. They have the technology to hyperdrive to planets that might have living things on it. It's not impossible for them to ferry a bunch of people to these planets. The first ship exploded after it's 4th jump, so it is safe enough for a 1-way trip to a new planet.
But all close planets would be uninhabitable
Its a movie Karen
It's not meant to be realistic lol, it's a movie. Most movies aren't realistic
@@born_to_be_bored2617
But we already know which planets are habitable for humans even with our current technology so they could just jump to those planets
@@PrimordialLycan such a old term to use
Not only was he the last ambassador he was also the last human that is alive with no friends family or children truly a sad ending
Thanks for the spoiler. I will still finish the video. It makes me interested to the movie even more.
there was a bus being driven at the start. hes not the last human if buses are being driven?
He has new alien friends though
@@szyszus4683i dont think they speak English
@@tkfn3013 I think they can, because they communicated and helped him. They would need to understand english for this, at least in the basic form
I like how that Planet is significantly cooler than the vacuum of space itself. And shout out to that 1980s TV budget
I don't think the planet was that cold, but the problem was that the ship malfunctioned and let the cold in
That's nothing special.
Aye, that's a really good point.
You explained this so well that I watched the movie so many times
I always feel as though I've watched the entire movie after listening to these, truly a great channel
The fact you can watch 10 movies a day.
yeah! 😁
Not to make sure they're not a robot, just to make sure they're capable of understanding the museum's way of communication.
It was so kind of the last ambassador to keep his helmet on to give us a nice reveal at the end of the film.
He is making all these movies more watchable because of the way he narrates
He’s not. 0:21 you can see a school bus moving. Pretty sure there’s people left
@@jeffbezos3501
My eyes are in a poor condition. Where is it?
@@thetechnocrat4979 There’s two main streets. Look at the left one and you’ll a yellow bus moving

OK, thanks.
If aliens are aware of humanity. I doubt they would ever establish first contact until we fix ourselves.
I doubt otherwise lol
Aliens are probably like us! Thinking if we exist or not!
Wrong, till you guys fix yourselves. They don't seem to have an issue with us natives
@@ericbeltrami2718 what do you mean by, native?
Im the 69th like
underrated channel the amount of editing that goes into this must be insane
Just feel the loneliness and the sorrow he faced when back home....... so heartbreaking...... so heart gripping...... goosebumps
I agree we literally have a possible chance to find a literal earth
One of the all time depressing endings ever
So... Humanity went extinct because they took more from the Earth than it could give?
What a fresh, new and innovative spin on things.

Thanos:
"I thought _I_ was inevitable." 🙁
Wow that’s really sad
He succeded in his mission and returns with help, only to find out everything is gone and he’s the last human
I knew from the beginning that he was a human, not showing his face, knows all the human things etc.
"The building seems to be a bunker that was constructed to hold life after the conditions on the surface got too harsh for the humans to survive." The narrator interpreted for the audience while the visuals on screen could be free-associated to mean anything.
Unbelievable!!!When I discovered your channel you were basically in 800k somewhere there...its such a proud moment to see the channel grow and I'm addicted !!!
Humans never learn from its mistakes
An alternate version of the movie where all 4 are aliens and explore the ruins of Earth seems like it would a cool movie to me
I love your videos! I am ALWAYS too young to watch some movies, but then I found your channel and now I don't even need to watch the movie! I love your videos, once again
that quiz at the beginning reminds me of the "are you a robot" security checks on website lol
Keep up the good work love the content
"He chooses Sarah Jessica Parker" lmaoooo. Absolutely killed me and very accurate 🤣.
People don't get that other lifeforms doesn't depend on humans. Humans depend on other lifeforms. We will go away but earth will recover and return to balance eventually.
Love how this movie is a wake-up call for us to stop pollution and war..Sadly people would still do destruction and not peace, So basically *we deserve what nature brings to us*
Some of us do, some of us don’t. I feel bad for native tribes that still live life naturally (I.e: no polluting, taking care of Earth and Mother Nature, living like technologies we have now don’t exist) But most of humanity as a whole? We deserve it 😭 sorry my english not that good I am from south east Asia 💘
@@viedaz.4291 I mean, look at Antarctica..It's ice is starting to melt, animals that live there are gonna die. Main reason? Water Pollution. Btw your English is not bad, It's the same with me when I first learned English. 😉👍
There are literally a shit ton of movies trying to do that. Nothing special
Ah yes, also WW3 gonna start soon so yeah. We can only wait for downfall of human revolution
we? only if you mean big companies
we pollute like
Rene personal files also contain his Internet browsing history. Upon seeing it, the aliens leave him on Earth and never return.
He put his family photo in the cockpit before travelling to space
That's an obvious death flag right there
Glad I watched this recap instead of the actual movie which I'm sure would've had me bawling for a few days straight 😭
That ending at the end.... holy fuck I didn't see it coming
Humanity in this movie has FTL, but cannot build self sustaining space stations or outposts on hostile planet? Seems strange. Still, a pretty nice movie
Resources... where would they get it? Yes earth, which was dying. Plus building a one-man FTL is not the same as building a space station. Think of it as experimental jet planes vs commercial double deck airplanes.
@@eggsnspam Resources are everywhere in space. And building FTL ships, which is impossible to be even made in concept right now, means they are pretty capable of settling down on Moon. Even now we could do it, but it's just too expensive and not really neccesary yet.
Ok bro, look at ourselves.
We have internet, social media, everybody from different cultures/races gets along perfectly well already. However, we still have wars in some places due to politics, ideologies. Ffs racism is still a reality though 🤦♂️
Look at the farming technologies that makes fields 3X more productive. Famine still exist!
There’re so many billioners, millioners super rich people that never been this many in human history. Instead of providing financial aids for the poor, helping people dealing with health issues that cost too much; they get private jets, mansions, wasting money on drugs, whores, partying🤦♂️
While some part of the world still cannot meet basic human needs, some living in abundance, wasting too much resources carelessly.
We’re not that developed intelligently, still 🤪

7:35 the among us refrence "sus" perfect for that moment. time for a meeting
This is so sad. Did he kinda became immortal? Idk what i would do next after learning about earth's fate
Actually no, he went hyper jump, he age slower than The earthlings. Law of physics, there's already a men who's older than 0.002 sec to this world.
Didn't quite get that too. Maybe the humans in that film have Starfleet level faster-than-light drives and communication technology, while the aliens are still bound by real physics and can therefore only travel below lightspeed. So if their planet was a few hundred lightyears from earth, only a few weeks to months might have passed on the alien spaceship.
