This road with the little bit of snow on it was much worse than traveling the Morrison Jeep Trail. The drop-off was just as steep and a long way down. The road was narrower and sloped to the outside. Melissa was the smart one jumping out!
Thank you! I feel validated. Last weekend, we were riding in the Pryor Mountains and drove around a corner to discover my side of the road was GONE! Elgin couldn't see it from his side, so if I hadn't given my classic holler, "STOP!", we would have tipped over and dropped into a steep washout leading to a nasty area we DID NOT WANT TO BE upside down in below.
@@melissacook Hi Melissa! I agree, many of your trips include shelf driving which is always hair raising scary! I hope you and Elgin are doing well..I’ve enjoyed our conversations. Did Elgin ever buy another Drone? In the one video I watched lately, an Eagle tore the drone to pieces..this video included Myron Cook in it.
If you drive up and past the medicine wheel and through the next gate, there are miles of FS and BLM roads to explore. Not crazy technical Rarely travelled
@@howardjones2021 Funny you mention that... We are putting out a video in a couple of weeks that covers some of that area... We actually come out at the medicine wheel. :-) Thanks for the thought!
My wife and I enjoy your videos. I'm thinking you need to invest in some tire chains and a Geiger counter. Maybe someday we'll join you guys on a ride.
You should come join us for the ride! We will be having a spring trip with fans. I think the chains is a great idea! Thank you for the excellent comment! 😊
I feel like I was listening to Dave and I. I want out, he tells me no. LOL I love those back roads, but they are a huge challenge for me! I'm curious, is that Sykes Ridge Rd.?
It was actually an offshoot from the Red Pryor Mt. Road between the Dandy Mine and the Lisbon Mine. This is the eastern flank area of the Pryors. Thanks for watching!
Dan has a small chain saw but the oil smell is too much inside the Jeep. I think we should figure something out though, especially in the spring. Thank you for watching and commenting.😊
I grew up in Cowley. I've been in the mines. They are uranium mines abandoned years ago and supposedly sealed by the BLM because of the danger of collapsing.
I thought you were kidding about uranium mine. Sooo... I googled it. First result was about how BLM reclaimed 10 abandoned uranium mines in the Pryor mountains.
thanks for bringing me along....
Glad you enjoyed
You are welcome! Thanks for joining us for the ride and leaving us a comment.
I've been all over that area and it's one awesome place to have fun.
It really is!
Thank you for sharing your experience. It is such a great place to play.
This is one of th e”Scariest” scnes I’ve seen with a Jeep on any video so far! Don’t blame you for being scared Melissa!

@@melissacook I totally agree, it was very scary looking even on the video…can’t imagine riding Shotgun in a Jeep on that road!
@@bigviper64 I had to look to see which trip your comment was from because, HALF the trips seems to be scary!! Haha

The Big Horns are beautiful with lits of exploring
We love our wonderful Big Horn Mountains. We are never short of things to do. ❤ Thank you for watching!

@@howardjones2021 I'm working on the Devil's Canyon editing. I'm at minute 20. We sure had a great time on that scary road in some places! Stay tune.
Beautiful roads, scenery and looks like a wonderful crew, I hope someday my wife and I can join you guys for an adventure. Stay safe 🙏
Do you live in the area?
@@MelissaCook1 no we live in Chicago, but this summer we're heading that way for at least a week.
@@robingonzalez1210 Will you be bringing your Jeep and when will you be here?

If our new jeep ever shows up we'll give you a holler
@@dennisodson4572 Sounds like a plan. 😎
Very interesting however one wonders about mine gases…?
It could be possible... We don't plan on going in there again. :-)
Great to see though keep ‘em coming!
We went home and researched it and learned we won’t be doing that again!! That was uranium!!!😮

Sorry... West flank of the Pryors... Not east. :-)
Elgin’s learning to let me out when I want out or I just might throw myself out. 😂 Thanks for tuning in and commenting.😊
I normally cap the amount of wine my wife can have on Jeep trips.
Not a bad idea.
Haha - She might need that wine to calm her nerves when you are behind the wheel. Heehee
I always carry a limb saw and sometimes our small chainsaw
We do the same most of the time. Didn't have one this time. :-)

Did you leave an offering for the Little People
Nope... Guess we just risked it!
My son has talked about the Little People of the area. 😂

We didn't really look for another mines... However the one we found was not sealed... Interesting.
Yeah, I’m not going in one again. No way! That’s not a good place to be. Thanks for checking out our show. We appreciate your comment.😊
I thought you were kidding about uranium mine. Sooo... I googled it. First result was about how BLM reclaimed 10 abandoned uranium mines in the Pryor mountains.
Nope... It is a real thing. Some are much worse than others to be in or around.
Yikes, right? Ugh. We seem to do a good job of finding trouble. 😂
