I thought this is in the Cordillera Region Philippines. I am amazed to know that we have exactly the same Culture and Traditions. From physical looks, clothings, accessories and music, we are 99% the same.
@@jhosh362 I think they aren't related. Cultures can develop in a similar fashion. They are primitive cultures and hence to people it may seem similar but why do you even look at tribes like the zeliangrong to correlated with igarot and its likes. Look at the tribes of Africa, they have look different but some of them have similar culture as those of igarot. Speaking of zeliangrong, they have haplogroup O-M122, this shows that they have a different lineage and origin, different from Austronesian people.
Carmelo Magguiya it's not necessary for people to be of same ethnicity to have similar culture. Cultures can develop in a similar fashion, look at African tribes like Maasai for example who have similar clothing to those of igarot and zeliangrong. You should understand that these are primitive cultures and it won't be of any surprise if they also have similar traditions like headhunting and clothing. Are you also going to say that African tribes like Maasai are similar to that of ifugao and igarot? zeliangrongs have a different haplogroup, which can tell that their origin is different from Filipinos. Zeliangrongs have O-M122(O3) and filipinos have O-M119(O1a) haplogroup. The haplogroup expressed in igarots and ifugao shows that their closest relatives are other Filipinos and malay and Indonesians, including taiwanese aboriginals, Pacific islanders and Madagascar people.
Nguiba is the common ancestor of Zeliangrong people. Nguiba had three sons( sibling brothers), 1. Namgong, ( the first son) whose descendants became the Zeme, 2.. Kading,( secondcson) whose descendants became the Liangmai, 3.. Rembangbe,( the last/ youngest), whose descendants became the Rongmei.
Finally a very useful and knowledgable video about Zeliangrong people.. the complete costume of the actors and the location of the shoot made it more authentic and interesting.
We need to documents of zeliangrongs history often because we tend to forget how zeliangrongs tribes came into being.this episode will broaden our mindset and affinity of the people.
Because only few people like you understand history. The rest are just sheeps. This documentary is probably done by Rongmeis who are hell bent on not recognizing Inpui (Kabui) history and continues to take Inpui (Kabui) name as theirs!!
Very educative. Thank you Tribal Research. Luangdimei ringtelo.
