  • Exquisite, expensive, magnificent well, words cannot describe what we saw in these areas. Off the Grange highway we get into Gletwin Park then Shawasha hills. Yes, like in Hellensvale we dont talk of square meters here but acres and hectares. Prices of stands are five figure amounts only. Shawasha Hills is located in the region of Mashonaland East. The distance from Shawasha Hills to Zimbabwe's capital Harare is approximately 17 kilometers. This elite suburb derives its name from long back occupants.
The area was ruled by a king called Shawasha who was a cousin of Seke in 1800. During that time the occupants were highly affluent people who owned huge herds of cattle. Seems the spirit of wealth still rovers up to this day since the residents of the area are the definition of mbinga.
Stand sizes ranges from 1 acre to 20 acres. You need a proper real estate agent to purchase land in this area as you may fall victim of overnight hit and run bogus realtors. Successful company CEOs and Directors occupy most of the houses in this area.

I am a Zimbabwean and take umbrage to an American accent that can't get the pronunciation right. Couldn't you find a Zimbabwean accent? We have a unique accent and are very well spoken a d most certainly don't need an American one showing us around.
