You're using the paddle backwards...the aggressive angle is meant to give more propulsive power...if you turn is around, you'll get far more leverage that way. It's the same reason kayak paddles are curved back (not forward).

I just got my 2019 Model X, they don't include glue with the patches which is ridiculous for the price. Now, I've got to find glue! I haven't inflated it yet. I want to take my Labrador retriever out on the water.
Heya, due to shipping restrictions most of the time glue can't be included. Don't ask me why, it's on the couriers that one!
You and your dog are going to love it! It's so nice taking the dog - so long as they sit still! Haha otherwise it's a good test of balance ;)
Which board do you think is better this one or the Thurso Waterwalker?
Depends on what you want it for? Both area great! The Blackfin is a great family board. It's got loads of stability, perfect for extra passengers or if you need something super stable. The Waterwalker is also a great board that offers up a little more maneuverability than the Blackfin X. So if you need stability more than maneuverability than go with the X or otherwise I'd do the Waterwalker :)
