Adults will pay a maximum 290$ a year for any healthcare/medications and everything over that would be free. Must be very hard for you.

They don’t have health insurance. They have insurance through Christian ministry which they have to pay up front and then get reimbursed after. If they paid for a monthly health insurance plan they wouldn’t have this bill. Makes no sense to me why people chose this route instead of paying for real medical insurance.

Contact the manufacturer have the medicine and see if they'll help you out. I've had to do that before. I now pay 40 for a med that originally cost close to 9000. I get that every 2 weeks...
You can just get regular health insurance and it will all be covered. It’s because you have health insurance through your church is why your paying that much. Get blue cross or another regular health insurance and you won’t have the burden of those costs. Just a helpful tip

I know how you feel... my daughter has arthritis, too. We started with MTX, than changed to Humira and other biologica... it's hard... but i can tell you: My daughter is now 22 years old and she is fine!! She is strong, almost healthy and an incredible strong young woman. I cross my fingers and send prayers that EB will be such a strong young lady as my daughter is right know!! But i have to say that I'm glad to live in germany, because we do not have to pay any money for the healthcare of our children! I wish you all the best :-*

You have to get insurance. I don't understand why you don't have insurance. If you had insurance this would be a much less disastrous issue. It's not fun to pay for it, but it is so much more costly to not have it. Talk to Branden and Mindy, or the Gardners and see how they cover their families. I'd get insurance over any other financial priority at this time. EB is a strong little spirit and you'll all get through this, but prioritize insurance instead of just thinking you can't afford it. It’s not that simple unfortunately. My family hasn’t been able to afford insurance for years. It’s completely inhuman how inaccessible health care is here. There is help out there, my family has found alternatives we can afford, they’ll be ok with help, but it is FAR from easy.

Watching this….I am so grateful to live in a country where we have universal healthcare. We get whatever we need, no matter what. We all pay an average of 33% income tax, and because of that we pay nothing for surgery, medicine, cancer treatments etc. I feel you, unreal to me, but i feel you!❤️

My heart breaks for them and yes, I know all too well about the diabetes medication. My health insurance to private pay is way too expensive, I make too much for any sort of assistance, and I am diabetic and asthmatic. My diabetes medication out of pocket is almost 9oo a month and my rescue inhaler for asthma is 1500 a month out of pocket. So I have to choose, which do I treat?
I'm sorry for EB!! 😭 You probably already know this, but sugar causes major inflammation and makes arthritis a lot worse. Cutting out sugar would help a lot. I know it's very hard to tell a child they can't have sugar tho 💔

I'm sorry to hear about Eb, I totally understand your frustration about the cost of medicine because my husband had pancreatic cancer and he had his pancreas removed that he has dietbies . His medication is so expensive that were working to pay for the medical and not living.

Trampolines are very bad for the knees and can cause those joints to pop rope illy if someone jumps beside you and your knees buckle. I feel that's how she injured it the first time, she was jumping that day with people around her in the backyard. Remember that vlog. I hurt my knee the same way. Prayers little EB
Yes you do pay for it in the UK, you pay it monthly through your NI contributions. The only people who don’t pay for it are unemployed and others with exemptions. I have paid into the system for it for just under 40 years. I also had private insurance for medical treatment.
Okay well you pay according to your wages…. The more you earn the higher contributions you pay. However the most the average person is going to pay is about £150 a month…… and if you’re not working it’s free! I feel the system here in the U.K. works so much better. And I’m proud, that we have a universal health care system where no one is left out! Yes you can choose to go privately but most private hospitals have the same drs as the free ones……

Also showing emotion with your kids isn’t always a bad thing of course there are boundaries but it shows them it’s ok to be sad and let those feelings out, and it shows that even adults get sad.

She needs to rest that knee more, I know she’s a child and loves jumping and all that but trust me arthritis inflammation when active needs rested, when she gets the steroid injection it’s supposed to be complete rest for 24hrs for it to be effective. I don’t know why you have not been informed of these details. Hope they find a suitable medication that will help with EB’S joint. It’s took 12years to find one that’s actually working for me. Praying for you all. ❤️

Im in Sydney i have Arthritis and so do two more f my kids. Believe me our meds cost a fortune to.

Eb have arthritis wich is NOT an injury. Her inflammation is an autoimmune response. I assume that she's cleared to jump by her specialist!

Hey april, i used to help patients get meds for affordable prices, call the manufacturer, and complete the financial assistance packet. It will take it down to less than 500 a month.
