    Looking great so far!
    Recommendation: Add some spray foam into the various cavities within the hull and top, as much as you reasonably can. This will add some more buoyancy, which would be useful in the event that it gets swamped. It could make the difference between a swamping and a sinking.

    • @SPHYNX99752
      @SPHYNX99752 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Great recommendation 👍, just be sure it is hydrophobic foam that is lighter than regular poured foam.
      My older brother built a floor for his fiberglass boat and used standard polyurethane pour foam in the voids that ended up absorbing water like a sponge. He thought he was making it unsinkable, like a Boston Whaler boat.

    • @stevebloke5455
      @stevebloke5455 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SPHYNX99752 too true the wrong foam works like a sponge and once it sucks up a heap of water it's damn near impossible to get out shy of removing all the foam. had this happen to a mates rc boat had to dig all the foam out to get it dry, ended up replacing it with polystyrene no problems after that.

    On second thought you could also use closed cell foam in-between the ribs of the bottom inside of hull then cap it with 1/2" inch plywood and fiberglass over that and your Jet Ski will be unsinkable!!! Awesome work!!!

    Not sure if you’ve thought about this yet but you’ll need some sort of air intake for the motor, if you are relying on the gaps around the seat than the motor will run terribly. A gravity or float trap can be used on the inside of the intake of the hull to prevent water from getting in if it flips.

    This is fantastic. The only design changes I'd make would be to add storage under the foot boards and make a hinged front hood with a large storage area. I'm not sure if I'd want to use a gas or electric motor for this. In any case, building one of these on your own means it could be completely customizable to meet your needs. Again, very well done.

    I know it would be a lot of difficult work, but you may want to fiberglass the inside of the jet ski. I'm a surfer, and I can tell you that the minute you get that thing out in the waves, the inside will get waterlogged. That plywood on the inside will soak up water without a fiberglass covering. I suspect you're only building this thing to ride around in the harbor.

      It's because YT is experimenting with a new AI based on Social Credit Scoring (SCS). That means each person is tracked for every video they watch and each comment you make. Each is scored with SCS points. You don't want any points, as a point indicates something you have watched or said goes against the chosen narrative. So if two people try to connect, and you both have significant points, then YT does not want you two connecting. SCS has been in use in China now for over 4yrs. There are approx 3million Chinese citizens who have achieved a high enough SCS that they are no longer allowed to fly on planes or take a subway or train or post on the Chinese internet, etc etc. Once Digital IDs (DID) get fully implemented, you can see that your entire online existence can be controlled, or even deleted, with SCS and DID "working" together.

    It’s really important to mix that stuff thoroughly and in the right proportions. Plus it’s extremely dangerous stuff and should only be handled with the proper PPE on.
