I am actively working currently in the field of Hydrogen Economy as a researcher in an applied science research society of Germany. I am glad to see such an initiative to introduce this subject to the people. We really need to develop capacity in India on this subject at this time, when the rest of the world is competing to be hydrogen tech. sovereign.

Today, almost 70 Million tonnes of hydrogen are produced each year by primarily extracting it from natural gas. This type of hydrogen is called grey hydrogen. I would like to cite IEA's report for the number.
Hi Manish, I would like to know that, could I have a startup after class 12th in which I would be generating electricity through the process of hydrogen. I have watched a lot of case studies about this topic and I think that this is possible.

India has inaugurated the first international conference on hydrogen energy in November 2021.
India must race to be first to create hydrogen economy. Use nuclear reactors with uranium and thorium and solar roof panels to achieve this.

I think before transport sector Government's focus should focus on Industrial and power sector. Industrial sector is a big hub for supply as well as demand. On the other hand electrolysers can be effectively used to produce green hydrogen.
@@batman5726 Using electricity in automotive industry is more reliable compare to hydrogen fuel, hydrogen can be used as a fuel in aviation industry, and hydrogen as a fuel is reliable in steel and cement industry as a green source instead of coal and natural gas
@@deepthummar1572 you are right. At this point of current TRL, EVs are far more cost competitive. 1 kg(95-100 km) if hydrogen is almost 4 times higher that 1 kWh for EVs.
Aviation industry is also can be a potential hydrogen hot spot like steel and iron industry. However, till mid term Aviation has to rely on other synthetic fuels till the market as well as technology proves to be reliable.
In that case power and industrial sector is capable to fully utilize hydrogen where for power sector it depends on the goal of how much green electricity it can diffuse in the grid and on the other hand steel and chemical industry can effectively use hydrogen as feedstock. I also see the opportunity of electrification if steel industry by switching to direct reduction instead of blast furnace.

@@rp1881 in a nutshell, yes as per application, hydrogen for cooking will be great option, provided the technical standard of equipments are established utmost to ensure safety of the end user and safety against transportation hazards.
Replacing LPG with green hydrogen will also chunk out large imports and carbon emission by investing more on clean energy assets.
