I had three girls and would have LOVED to know how to do it all their years growing up etc WHOEVER it is that says you" cant "teach an old a new trick?" is totally all wrong. Thank you!!!!
This video is literally amazing! I've tried watching so many videos on French and Dutch braids, but this is the only one that explains finger placement and hand movements together so that you don't get lost! Thank You!!!

Woo-hoo! I did it! I made a Dutch braid! And it's pretty decent! Sorry for all the exclamation points, I'm just excited :) my 3 yo has amazing blonde hair and a mom with 2 left hands ;) I started doing okay with regular braids and figured it's time to learn some new styles. I always feel like I am missing a hand or a few figures to manage her hair successfully, but with your very very very clear visual instructions (I watched on mute as it made me verbally process for myself what's going on and thus make it easier to understand what to do) I was able to get the hang of it! I'm gonna practice the Dutch braid for the next few days (hoping her silky smooth hair will hold well with it) and come back for more 👌🏻

(Also...I did NOT realize the fishtail braid was so easy! Going with that one tomorrow. And next time I see one of those barbie hair dolls at the thrift store I'm buying it to practice my hand movements 😁)
This actually will help me for my project imdoing with a friend! We are doing hairstyles and I've never been the best at braids but I will def use the french braid, it seemslike the easiest todo.(btw you explained it so well-)

I just can not seem to do a braid on myself idk why it seems so hard for me. I'm going to sit and try with this and see If I can at least accomplish one one them I'm so thankful for the ppl who take time out of their lives to try to teach others as my self so thank you so much.
If the hair is not long enough in the back for braids, you can do braids where you only braid the front part of the hair, like double braids, but stopping the braid after 5cm and then you have a cute half up half down hairstyle with braids, if that makes any sense :D x
