Time to explore one the most painful areas of all of Orlais, the Exalted Plains. Once a beautiful forest where elves used to thrive, now a scorched and dead land ruined by the civil war. The armies of Celene and Gaspard, unaware that the war ended, are now facing aditional threats : the Freemen of the Dales, deserters now hostile to everyone, and the animated corpses rising from the ground. We also get the heart of a snowy wyvern for Vivienne. Remember Vivienne ?

After finishing DAO and DAII, why not continue with DAI while waiting for news from the fourth game ? We're back on large-scale epic adventures, this time with huge maps and tons of side content, some of which could have been scrapped considering what they bring to the story...which is almost nothing. While many like this game for how it improved graphically and gameplay-wise, and most of all the visible care and efforts that were put in it, I still think it's the least interesting of the franchise. The cast of characters isn't all that great (aside from a few exceptions) there are very good moments but they are interspersed by endless fetch quests and useless grinding that makes the whole experience drag on far too long. But besides these minor drawkbacks, the game is still excellent : the music is incredible, the combat is a lot more enjoyable on higher difficulties, the graphics are gorgeous and of course, the story is still remarkably good. So in conclusion : dats good shit mate.
