Amazing work as usual, you never cease to amaze Aerobik I love these animation, Lifepod 4 was tragic, but I think Life 6 was just unfortunate as the passenger blew up themselves and the survivor
To me, Keen and Yu were the most tragic. They lived the longest. They had the most information. They had the best potential for surviving on the floating island. It’s only Yu’s drive to personally drag all survivors with them that doomed them both.
@@andrewilliams236 Valid point. That and Yu crashed in the Northern Blood Kelp Zone with Berkley, likely left him behind for her own survival, so Yu is a villain, that or she TRIED to save him but couldn’t.
my headcanon is that he didn't miscalculate, but because there was no hole in the aurora for him to get in, the reaper got him while he was frantically trying to find a way on board
The only thing I see wrong with the animation, is that lifepod 4 was the only other lifepod that's floatation devices worked. Also, just as a side note: If we had gotten into the lifepod right beside ours, we would probably have ended up like him. Just shows how lucky Riley is.
as a player just playing the game, not having to truly fear for my life.. the reaper will always send chills down my spine when i know i have to be near it. so i cannot imagine how this man felt in his dying moments.
Realize the place he was in had barely any cover, he was a 100 meters deep, had a snorkel, and multiple reapers were swimming around the pod. This game truly showed the terror of being stranded, by yourself, with unknown alien creatures you could have never even imagined.
Love the animation, but I'm pretty sure Lifepod 4 is the one floating upside-down on the surface near Aurora. This one is kinda more like Lifepod 7 in terms of positioning and surroundings.
Even if the decoys had worked perfectly the Aurora wouldn’t had detonated yet so the chances of him being able to find an entrance into the ship in time is unlikely. Even if he survived long enough for the explosion to occur it would obviously kill him assuming he stuck around close to the ship
In the lore, this guy actually made it to the island, however his only other crew mate decided to go to the Aurora… from the side. She died to a reaper, he died to a warped because it would’ve taken him 4 hours to go back to the island by swimming
Funny to think that if bro had just went north instead of south he probably would've made it to the safe shallows where he could've either found Riley's lifepod or could've held out on a coral tube until being discovered and would've had a much better chance at survival. Not to mention since technically in the early game your not the only survivor of the Aurora both Yu and Keen manage to make it to the floating island and if they had just held out there for a few days and waited for Riley to arrive they both probably could've also had made it.
What's most sad about this is that even if he had somehow made it inside the ship he would've died when the reactor exploded. Poor guy just had no hope of survival from the moment his life pod hit the water.
You know if you think about it he might have made it... For a short while that is cuz he said "the only viable option was to make it to the wreck of the Aurora" he could have made it... But then it blew up, either way a reaper snack or reduced to atoms from a cataclysmic explosion.
For some reason I have been getting lots of Subnautica lore videos on my yt + shorts, so I'm glad I came across this. This really brings out the trategies what the npc's went through in the story. Hope you're gonna add more of the other survival pods!
I always thought he made it to the ship, but the ship exploded with him on it. Then when you board the ship, the crabs ate him, as the PDA indicates they have human tissue in their digestives
He didnt get to the ship, the human remains on the ship is the people who couldnt get off the aurora, he got ate by the reapers dying to radiation and ran out of decoys, if only he had a prawn suit a grapple arm and a drill arm am i right 😂
All of the life pods are scary The life pod in the bulbs with the guy having the karaha Ozzy, the CTU the ones who got radiation poisoning keen all of them.
This man crash landed alone and was promptly told by his PDA that there are reapers on his doorstep, a truly tragic fate. Regardless, this is a wonderful animation on the story of Lifepod 4!
My personal theory is that he didn’t miscalculate. He got away from the reapers and actually boarded the ship. Too bad we all know how that turned out for him
the thing about life pod 4 for me its that, the general area its found in isn't exactly filled/in reaper territory but its close to the ship, while the pda entry describes it has much worse. my theory is that it originally landed in the mountain biome, wrecks can be found there and its in more reaper territory but after he left, the lifepod was attacked and then floated near the ship.
Honestly, I think this guy had by far the worst death of all the survivors, provided he swam towards the Aurora. Assuming the decoys provided enough time for him to get to the ship, he would have been unable to find a way inside, as the Aurora only becomes accessible after the drive core detonates. Not to mention, he would have been suffering from radiation poisoning the entire time, due to being so close to the Aurora. Meaning that this poor chap spent his last moments swimming in the dusty, radiation filled water, frantically trying to find a way inside the ship, whilst the decoys ran out, and the Reapers swam over to unsubscribe him from life.
Probably one of the worst ecosystem to stuck in unknown waters filled animals ten your size the amount of fear that would be going through swimming around the front of the ship with no protection I never found the others leviathans scary every time I enter a location that reapers appear I’m nervous and scared the survivors are the unlucky ones in this situation
I wish there was a way to save someone, anyone. To not be so uterly alone. You still can't save the Sunbeam, even if you cure the virus. It's just so sad.
Given that the scanner and pda can already identify everything with surefire names, its safe to say that even before the degasi expedition, they STILL were visiting 4546b.
This looks really cool, but it's depicting the wrong lifepod. Lifepod 4 is supposed to be floating upside down on the surface, and is in the crash zone. This more resembles the one in the Crag Fields or the Sparse Reef.

@@ROLITO-G-243there is a coral tube chillin there out of water you can stand on and he could of seen our lifepod
Amazing work as usual, you never cease to amaze Aerobik
I love these animation, Lifepod 4 was tragic, but I think Life 6 was just unfortunate as the passenger blew up themselves and the survivor
Thank you so much! I’d love to do another one of these in the future, so lifepod 6 would definitely be a contender
@@Cyro_Genshe try but coundt, there was nothing she cound do

@@ROLITO-G-243my question is how are your spelling mistakes so bad?
The degasi voice logs were the ones to break me. Especially Bart’s 3rd log
Honestly same
Life Pod 4 always made me sad, especially him basically saying, "if I'm not there, I'm dead," as his final goodbye..
my headcanon is that he didn't miscalculate, but because there was no hole in the aurora for him to get in, the reaper got him while he was frantically trying to find a way on board
That’s cool but life pod 4 was the only other life pod floating
yeah thats what I thought
yeah, i was gonna comment that too.
Excuse the noise levels in the video, rendering time was a lot shorter than it usually is!
I didn’t notice, even when you pointed it out!
“If I’m not on the ship, presume I’ve miscalculated.” That’s actually heartbreaking
The way his voice breaks a little with that last line hits so hard
The only thing I see wrong with the animation, is that lifepod 4 was the only other lifepod that's floatation devices worked.
Also, just as a side note:
If we had gotten into the lifepod right beside ours, we would probably have ended up like him. Just shows how lucky Riley is.
Riley got all his stat points in luck probaly
as a player just playing the game, not having to truly fear for my life.. the reaper will always send chills down my spine when i know i have to be near it. so i cannot imagine how this man felt in his dying moments.
Duuude always excited for when you drop another banger!
Appreciate you!
Realize the place he was in had barely any cover, he was a 100 meters deep, had a snorkel, and multiple reapers were swimming around the pod. This game truly showed the terror of being stranded, by yourself, with unknown alien creatures you could have never even imagined.
Wow I love this animation! Although I couldn't help but also say that Lifepod 4 was actually floating in the game. But besides that, very awesome!
Thank you! I am aware, I just tweaked the environment to make it more interesting and gloomy
Crazy how when im bored i listen to the pda's and imagine an animation to go with it, and this is exactly how i imagined this one going
The fear in his voice at the end always gets to me.
Nice animation & keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
you gotta do one for the rest of the logs now. I can just imagine a movie trailer esc compilation of each of them together and that would be SICK!
"If you don't find me onboard the ship, presume I miscalculated". Man this thing hits really hard, for a moment you think is real life
You know if you think about it he might have made it... For a short while that is cuz he said "the only viable option was to make it to the wreck of the Aurora" he could have made it... But then it blew up, either way a reaper snack or reduced to atoms from a cataclysmic explosion.
Some people say he exploded with the aurora, but we know he got eaten
Goodbye, lifepod 4. May he rest in peace. Goodbye, old friends. 😢
Dude, I love your videos! You are so underrated.
Glad you like them!
If he had just swam the other way, he would have made it. Assuming the Aurora was the safest place was the real miscalculation.
Yeah no kidding he miscalculated, dude was wearing a snorkel…
Bro this is gold! I’d die for a remaster that looked this good.
Please do all the lifepod animations.
Awesome!! I realize that we need a subnautica film
For some reason I have been getting lots of Subnautica lore videos on my yt + shorts, so I'm glad I came across this. This really brings out the trategies what the npc's went through in the story. Hope you're gonna add more of the other survival pods!
The scene of a scuba mask and snorkel sinking with ''prsume i miscalculated.'' hit hard
Gorgeous animation and an excellent choice of music
Narrator's voice: He, indeed, miscalculated.
Everybody: terrified of reapers
Me: builds base in sand dunes cuz I like the sounds they make
This guy's final voice log hit the hardest. Even more than CTO Yu/2nd Officer Keen's logs.
Mass effect levels of feeling, good job.
damn where are all of these sick ass subnautica animations coming from? keep up the good work mate!
I always thought he made it to the ship, but the ship exploded with him on it. Then when you board the ship, the crabs ate him, as the PDA indicates they have human tissue in their digestives
He didnt get to the ship, the human remains on the ship is the people who couldnt get off the aurora, he got ate by the reapers dying to radiation and ran out of decoys, if only he had a prawn suit a grapple arm and a drill arm am i right 😂
All of the life pods are scary
The life pod in the bulbs with the guy having the karaha
Ozzy, the CTU the ones who got radiation poisoning keen all of them.
good job man! this was spot on
Appreciate it!
I would 100% watch a Subnautica tv show or anime
IMAGINE
Same!
Too bad we all know how that turned out for him
this is incredible. great job!
In my 300 hours of playtime I’ve somehow never heard this log
I would love a subnutica story book
It was always so sad to me that NOBODY else survived.
Love this. Definitely subscribing!
Subscribing to your channel for Subnautica videos. Loved them, keep it up.
as someone who got nomed by a reaper by going too close to the aurora ship, can confirm i experience the same terror these guys went through
the thing about life pod 4 for me its that, the general area its found in isn't exactly filled/in reaper territory but its close to the ship, while the pda entry describes it has much worse. my theory is that it originally landed in the mountain biome, wrecks can be found there and its in more reaper territory but after he left, the lifepod was attacked and then floated near the ship.
This was actually great! Please do more lifepod animations if u can
I’ll probably do another in the future!
Lifepod 4 is upside down on the left of the Aurora still a good video even if its not 100% accurate
Man just made the opening trailer for the subnautica movie
im thinking about it now and im surprised i listened through all of those messages in the game without crying after each one
it would be the coolest thing if they made a movie out of this game I WANT A MOVIE SO BADDDD
its worse if you think about the fact that there was no way to get on board before the explosion, so it would have all been in vain anyway.
this is AWESOME i would love to see more lifepod logs animated
Probably one of the worst ecosystem to stuck in unknown waters filled animals ten your size the amount of fear that would be going through swimming around the front of the ship with no protection I never found the others leviathans scary every time I enter a location that reapers appear I’m nervous and scared the survivors are the unlucky ones in this situation
"them"
my guy's fate was sealed from the start.
They should've honestly made us watch one of them being eaten by the Reaper as soon as we get within a certain distance of the life pod
Fantastic video, please do more animations of the other lifepods.
More to come!
That box saved our asses.
We'd be dead without that info.
I really like how well this was executed
I wish there was a way to save someone, anyone. To not be so uterly alone. You still can't save the Sunbeam, even if you cure the virus. It's just so sad.
You can. If you cure the virus (and turn off the gun) before getting the radio message about the Sunbeam, the Sunbeam won’t attempt to land.
Well made. Thank you for creating this
Glad you enjoyed it!
The reaper with only 3 face claws is a nice touch
Given that the scanner and pda can already identify everything with surefire names, its safe to say that even before the degasi expedition, they STILL were visiting 4546b.
Bro the animation is so sad with the music and the reapers and everything😢😢😢😢😢
when you go near the Aurora, the scan says human remains were found in nearby creatures. they ate him.
Thats just the people who didnt get off the aurora, the crabs ate them, presumably the reapers ate this fella unfortunately
This looks really cool, but it's depicting the wrong lifepod. Lifepod 4 is supposed to be floating upside down on the surface, and is in the crash zone. This more resembles the one in the Crag Fields or the Sparse Reef.
These is so cool I hope you do more of them
this happened to pop up in my recommended page the day you uploaded, so I am very upset that I put this off until now.
sad to think that if that piece of metal in riley's escape pod didnt knock him out then he mightve been able to save some of the others
