I finally bought this Moog Muse, was crazy about it and here comes the thing: Unfortunately, *"Moog Muse" has terribly disappointed me!* .. To turn on this keyboard it takes more than a minute (!).. Functions do not work properly, lights go on and off quickly and without meaning. The speed of the envelope generators is WAY too slow.. Chords played faster produce unwanted fast arpeggios. I tested everything and even the new software (1.2) did not fix these serious bugs, so I have to warn about it.. Detuning is a big problem, even the tuning function does not work. The keyboard froze even after programming faster sequences.. The overall sound was thin and not as fat as my old Moog products (Mini Moog, Memory Moog). My impression: This instrument is too digitally controlled inside by very slow and in the worst case... often incomplete processing. I returned the Moog Muse to the seller and I have to say, there is something very wrong with this new Moog and it doesn't sound like a typical Moog at all! The sound is also bad and not rich. Too many other synths sound fuller, richer and faster (envelope generators) and the filter here doesn't do what it promises!! Forget the actual "Moog" products. They are not what they promise and what they say they are. Direct comparison with my old Sequential Circuit products and many intensive tests finally opened my eyes after many hours, folks. Wake up... and stop believing in any advertisement for Moog... I'm sorry for all of you who fell into this trap like me. Sooner or later you will confirm what I am writing here.
Hello, indeed it seems that some production batches have problems. Moog is aware, their support told me that they are working on a new firmware. However, I don't think my channel is the best place to deposit your disappointment, especially since your last sentence is a bit presumptuous. 😉 As for the sound, it's a matter of taste. I've also had a lot of synths (including Moog) and the sound of this Muse completely inspires me.

These are better than the factory sounds . Thanks for a lovely demo.
Thanks Christopher !
I think the presets want to show off what it can, but aren’t that practical in a musical context. Yours are!!
Yes very better of factory sound indeed. I have one also, it’s an incredible instrument.

Best Muse demo I've heard for sure! Wow that was good!
Excellent patches! Tastefully programmed… and pricewise a no-brainer.

The first patch called Ahh & Push Lead reminds me the patch of Vangelis using YAMAHA CS-80! Very good video, thanks!

If I ever buy a Moog Muse I will be buying these excellent patches. It would be great if you could do a collection of Geddy Lee's synth sounds.

Should I sell my sub 37 n get this or get both... if I get this do I still need sub 37?

In this video I use a sampled real funky drum and a Roland TR8S on the slow ballad patch.

Any issues with tuning on your unit? I want to pick up a Muse badly, but some of the stories of tuning issues are giving me pause... Great sounds btw.
It’s seems to be a very small minority with real problems.
But the oscillators do drift and they have quick tune to tighten it back up when needed.
