100% agree on creating time with no background noise. I have this horrible habit of having my earbuds all the time while at work, either with some TH-cam on the background or Spotify, until my brain feels like mush.
Another fantastic video Nicholas, thanks for sharing! I deleted social media years ago, life is too short and time is too expensive to waste it on those platforms. See you next week!
I subscribed because I found it fascinating how similar I approach everything as a minimalist for now ~10 years. You start to think completely differently and abundance comes from your ability to do and keep the things that hold true value and de-clutter the mind.
Dope video my guy. I've been team dumb phone for about 3 weeks now. It's been a game changer so far. Can't check my phone first thing in the morning or last thing at night if it don't exist 🤷🏽
In days where self-improvement books are recommended left and right, i still love and enjoy diving into a deep story which evolves chapter by chapter. 📖
Silent hours are great to give your brain time for organizing and computing thoughts. With our busy lives where so much is going on I've also started with silent moments and it is great. I still enjoy listening to podcasts but driving, walking or doing laundry in silence gives so much peace.
Nice video❤, gives comfy vibes😊 and this is most beautiful thing of your videos. Learning:- 1. Reduce phone dopamine at morning and at night. 2. Sports habit. 3. Reading. Question:- When you make whats on my minimalist iphone setup 2025?
I would totally play with you but Im from germany. But thanks to you I started skating again and it helps me so much to stay away from my pc & phone. Great video!
I wanted to go back boxing, though with my circumstances? Prehaps getting back in the pool primarily, maybe some cycling ( my means of transportation), and some other activity
wow nick, crazy, your channel got so big! congrats! and your video are getting better and better, nice work m8! but you know, i am still waiting on that part 2 of whiskey and smoke 😜
If you like reading fiction I highly recommend Phillipa Gregory. She’s a historian who writes dramas about the Tudors and other historical figures. I always feel like I’m a lady in waiting following these folks from an over-the-shoulder perspective. The Cousins Wars were the inspiration for Game of Thrones. ❤
Great video! I literally felt so powerless until I deleted the TikTok app and other social media apps from my phone. Now I feel like I can breathe again and I definitely didn’t think deleting the apps would make me feel so free lol
deleting social media really makes things so mich simpler. silencing all these different perspectives and brain rot really helps to feel good on your path again.

I, like many people, have been disappointed with the state of Star Wars recently. If you’re in that boat, I can’t recommend enough checking out the original expanded universe novels. It’s been great having adventures again in that universe and since they were written with the assumption there would be no more movies, the stories are consequential compared to the Disney novels which are all just supplemental material.
Hi Nicholas. Greetings from Montreal. I am a stay at home house husband !!! he he My partner is the full time worker form home. My meditation teacher has given me a meditation practice, (one) before my feet hit the floor. No noise, no phone, no moving (two) before I go to sleep. Usually 15 minutes. I also do some Buddhist Chants on seven day cycles. I have 4 to work with right now, which is at the upper limit of a beginner. Before leaving the bedroom, and before bed at night. I don't use social media at all, aside from YT. I keep my daily chores to three, i.e. food shopping/laundry/cleaning. I do my shop, come home, toss in the laundry, and at the same time I clean my apartment. If I don't have any chores to do, all the better. I also throw in the Mid Day nap. We cook during the week, we alternate cooking, then on weekends we take off cooking full meals in opt for our own "doings" to free us up to do whatever we want on the weekends. I sit with my Meditation Teacher several times a week, she lives upstairs from me, so that is a thing. We discuss teachings and meditate together. When I cannot be bothered to pick up a book, I do Audible or one of my podcast shows I listen to before bed, usually 1 hour, or until I am ready to sleep.
@ I love that. Hey question, I’m also an artist…and I’ve moved to digital but how do you let go of unfinished projects that are physical. I keep holding on to half painted items and tell myself I’ll get to it one day. That was years and years ago.
I usto think people who use the worlds “simple living” were just cheap people who don’t do much to save money in any possible way But now I’m starting to see “simple living” people as introverted people I hate social interaction I don’t make friends or talk to people however I will spend $500 on a designer bag so I’d say I’m not one of these people I guess but do enjoy watching this man Question will you be putting up a Christmas tree ? ❤
Could you maybe do a video on minimalism with cats/pets? I know your cat is older so maybe she doesn’t like toys as much as my pair of 3 yr old terrors do 😂
His videos are the most calming things to watch
There are times when you have to strangle or whirlwind-kick the like button, but generally yes. Love these videos.
90% of the time I drive without any music. I prefer the quietness after a day of work. Allows me to tap into my thoughts and regulate myself.
When I am tired from work i drive silently. It is relaxing.
Reading is one of those things that calms my soul and slow things down in my life. We all need that sometimes.
Well said

I'm glad you feel that way! It's really motivating to know that others find the minimalist lifestyle so valuable.

Playing tennis at the park with my buddies is a simple activity but it brings me so much joy.

Trish!! I appreciate it hope you’re killing it too 🤞🏻
Always look forward to your videos! I am starting my own journey in minimalism because of your videos!
You can do it!!
Thanks for this video. It’s always helpful. ❤ I’m still struggling to live minimally but I’m slowly getting there.
Thanks as always Haezel!
This has to be one of my favorite videos from you, I would add spend quality time with your pets : ) if you are lucky enough to have them.
Thanks so much Laura!!
I am going to put some of these into practice. I already drive to work without the radio on.
Hey Nick, what's up? I just bought the moon phone wallpaper on your store and i can say that its beautiful! Great job
Driving in silence is one of my favorite thing
Thank you for your video, Nicholas- it is exactly what I needed to hear today.
Glad it was helpful!

Video on minimalist bedroom?
Good video! I need to try the 30 minute buffer in the morning and at night….
You should!
Make an updated minimal gaming setup video.I love you

Amazing advice as always! I'm so guilty of always having some music or podcasts in my ears 🫣
You and me both!

Your video’s help me so much. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank YOU
Beautiful edited videos and you make it look so easy! But sometimes I wonder if this kind of lifestyle is only possible if living all alone...
Nice haircut man!
Hey, thanks!
I completely agree with you about reading novels. I recommend any of Robert Parker’s books or the brilliant novels of Walter Mosley.
Noted!
I wanted to go back boxing, though with my circumstances? Prehaps getting back in the pool primarily, maybe some cycling ( my means of transportation), and some other activity
Definitely recommend

Thanks mate!! Hey maybe it’ll happen one day 🫠
Like your hair shorter like this so much more than the longer hair!
Same 😂
Minimalism is very appealing, though i’m having a hard time mainly because I have a lot of stuff. Tech primarily
a similar suggestion i’ve been trying is committing to going analog after midnight
Why books on bookshelf are spines facing wall?
Nick,You look like a Professor and an Actor at the same time, Thanks for sharing ❄️😇✌🏼
I like that 😂
I had to disconnect my car radio fuse cause it was draining my battery. Never got it Checked out and don't miss it.
Love that 😂
Bro can you make a video on which software and apps you would use?
If you like reading fiction I highly recommend Phillipa Gregory. She’s a historian who writes dramas about the Tudors and other historical figures. I always feel like I’m a lady in waiting following these folks from an over-the-shoulder perspective. The Cousins Wars were the inspiration for Game of Thrones. ❤
thanks for the recommendation!! I just finished the book I was reading so I’m looking for something new
@@NicholasGarofola Anytime! I’ve dabbled in a bit of fiction in the past. Do you have any favorites?
Where's the pause????

I just love your videos!
If you’re ever in Luxembourg (Europe) let me know, I’d be happy to show you around our little country 😁

Hello 👋
I love your cat😊
Great video! I literally felt so powerless until I deleted the TikTok app and other social media apps from my phone. Now I feel like I can breathe again and I definitely didn’t think deleting the apps would make me feel so free lol
Definitely a necessary move
The 30 minutes buffer you speak of is sometimes referred to as ‘Amish-hour’.
What’s the app when you talk about social media?
Awesome video! What phone do you use?
iPhone 13
Awesome video!
Thanks!
deleting social media really makes things so mich simpler. silencing all these different perspectives and brain rot really helps to feel good on your path again.
TH-cam is social media
@ its not so overwhelming like the others
Couldn't agree more!
how you cut your hair as minimalism person?
Great video! Hubby and I may have to come your way for basketball and pickleball.
Let me know!!
I noticed your books are facing the other way around. Can you say more about this please?
Driving without music is all good until you realise the rattles that are plaguing your car 😅
Great video man, i ride a motorbike because of the silence

You must need a dragon fire to forge valyrian steel😉🐉
3 blacksmiths still alive who know how to forge it, all are in Essos
When I fall off the wagon I throw you on the background and try to declutter 3 things. Really helps. Sending love from Colorado
I used to do this with my favorite minimalism channel back in the day and wanted to be that background channel for people at some point, love that.

finnaly back to the good haircut.
I like minimalism. But when our speaker doesn't use music while talking , it becomes more realistic.
