You'd have to be a kid from a very specific time period to pretend 30 fps is ideal on consoles. 6th Gen had a ton of 60 fps games, and it really has only been the 5th, 7th, and 8th generations that don't have many examples of 60 fps titles. As someone who plays predominantly on PC, 60 fps is still not even close to an ideal frame rate, but it's much more acceptable than 30.
