I see the BBC didn't show Vance clarify the moderator fact checking him on the number of certain illegal immigrants in Ohio. She used the figures of the CBP1 applications which have increased in recent years. The BBC forgot to show this part because yes she is right. However, this application form is only to request an appointment to apply for asylum. So she was wrong to claim there is a high number of asylum seekers and legal migrants in Ohio. So in actual fact there aren't legal. Funny how figure can be twisted to make a narrative.

Vance exceeded expectations when compared to Trump, presenting himself smoothly, though he still clung to many of the same falsehoods as Trump, albeit in a more polished manner. Walz, known not to be a strong debater, came across as humane and authentic, especially in his answers, which largely reflected the reality we've experienced since 2021.
I'd argue that people have set a very low bar for Kamala. She has done 6 interviews since running for President, Tim 4 and it showed. This is what happens when you run for office and refuse to go on adversarial territory and get to challenge yourself. Kamala has been flip-flopping on fracking, gun control, immigration, and foreign policy. She refuses to come clean about her changes and it's the same tactic Donald Trump uses when denying the 2020 election. The difference is that Kamala is in office and we can see from the conflict, and drug outburst that they haven't been good on foreign policy, immigration, and national security. I'll give it to them that they had a tough economic situation to deal with but on those three subjects Americans are impacted directly and the results are bad.
The fact that the BBC attempted to convince the audience that both debaters had a strong performance tells you what happened. Vance clearly came across better and his message was transmitted. Walz was weak and didn’t deliver much. If it had been close they wouldn’t have attempted to call it a tie.

Vance easily won. Confident, articulate and eloquent. Walz looked lost, got mixed up, self deprecated, and fumbled.
Walz got a little overwhelmed by all Vances lies, for sure, but that doesn't mean Vance won. JD wouldn't even answer a basic question of who won the last election - deflection is high with this one.

The moderators were horrible. There was to be no factchecking and Vance immediately called Margaret Brennan out for doing it and then they cut his mic. The questions were favorable to Waltz and instead of multiple questions about Jan.6th, they could have been up subjects Americans care about today.

I see the BBC didn't show Vance clarify the moderator fact checking him on the number of certain illegal immigrants in Ohio. She used the figures of the CBP1 applications which have increased in recent years.
The BBC forgot to show this part because yes she is right. However, this application form is only to request an appointment to apply for asylum. So she was wrong to claim there is a high number of asylum seekers and legal migrants in Ohio. So in actual fact there aren't legal.

People had set a very low standard for Vance, based on Trump's mannerisms and performance against Kamala. So, as soon as Vance took a different approach from Trump, it was considered a brilliant night for him. Personally, I think it was unfair to compare Vance to Trump in the first place. Vance exceeded expectations when compared to Trump, presenting himself smoothly, though he still clung to many of the same falsehoods as Trump, albeit in a more polished manner. Walz, known not to be a strong debater, came across as humane and authentic, especially in his answers, which largely reflected the reality we've experienced since 2021.

I'd argue that people have set a very low bar for Kamala. She has done 6 interviews since running for President, Tim 4 and it showed. This is what happens when you run for office and refuse to go on adversarial territory and get to challenge yourself. Kamala has been flip-flopping on fracking, gun control, immigration, and foreign policy. She refuses to come clean about her changes and it's the same tactic Donald Trump uses when denying the 2020 election. The difference is that Kamala is in office and we can see from the conflict, and drug outburst that they haven't been good on foreign policy, immigration, and national security. I'll give it to them that they had a tough economic situation to deal with but on those three subjects Americans are impacted directly and the results are bad.

The fact that the BBC attempted to convince the audience that both debaters had a strong performance tells you what happened. Vance clearly came across better and his message was transmitted. Walz was weak and didn’t deliver much. If it had been close they wouldn’t have attempted to call it a tie.
