If you take a solo cup full of water, submerge your motor and run it under water. This can help clean out any debris. Dry it good, air compressor, and add a drop of oil in the bushings
Heck ya! My son just fried his motor in the water too finally, I think there was too much sand kicked up into the motor because it’s been fine for like 3 years of abuse. I was debating putting a fusion in his like mine but not sure I want to spend the money right now. Brushed motors are fine but figured at some point go brushless and they are better at being waterproof
I run a Redcat Gen8 (using that term loosely at this point, it's really a gen8 body and frame) with portal deleted TRX4 axles. I've had it set up for three years now and absolutely thrash on the thing every time it's out, once a year I pull apart the axles, clean and repack them with grease and replace the bearings. Some people swear every time you think about water when you have your truck out, you need to pull it apart and clean and dry the bearings, etc. But for how cheap bearings are, I say just save the time and do an annual rebuild.
I just traded mine for a drone and I don’t need a drone lol just helping a friend out you wanted a truck so bad. Do you need a brand new drone trade. Sounds like your gear mash is a little tight in your TRX4
@ yeah that was the same response I had lol I don’t need no damn drone. But I wanted to see him in a truck in the last I checked. I had over 20 . 10 scale. losing one wasn’t gonna kill me. But I’m a collector not a seller. Lol just having fun. Have a great day love your channel love hearing you laugh. Makes life a little brighter.
Marine grease is essential if you enjoy playing in mud and water and such. Air compressor after a good garden hose treatment is also a good idea
Yes! I need to get a compressor. I just use a leaf blower and it doesn’t work to well lol
i want a big rig. That is so cool. Great video
Thank you! They are so much fun
Fast sealed, Eddie Barron kit is better
Remember seal bearing kit you will never have to worry
They are sealed. Haha.

That is a really good idea! I will have to try that. Thank you!
Don't run too long, the brushes will wear fast
Man I want a 1/10 scale so bad! Looks soo much fun!
Check out the Trx4 Sport. Less features =cheaper price but no less fun
That’s so true, they are a blast! Scx10 3 basecamp or traxxas trx4 sport are great starter cars! Cheap and fun!
@@DoubleADay never been a huge fan of traxxas but I should give them a look. Really like the crawler/ trail stuff lately
lots of fun!

Yeah the brushed motors are actually water proof also. This cheap injora one I put in was dirt cheap and fit perfectly.

That sound awesome. I do like my gen8 also.
For all the stick you've gave it for 2yrs, I'd say a $20 bearing kit is value for money. 👍🏻
Oh yeah 100% worth it.
my uncle has the hightrail! anddd that led me to my purchase of the fms k5 blazer.
They are both great trucks!
Mine lasted a month, but I also think it’s because I used it nearly every day and took it through mine and cleaned it with water and blow it out
Oh that’s what I did and mine lasted a ton longer.
I love my trx4 k10 high trail
They are great!

Haha nah I don’t like flying things. And yeah it might be alittle snug lol
